If by chance sks ever got an update, I love to see some changes to the interface: No more "window in window" and tabbed navigation in the different sections. Here's a quick and dirty screeny of what I mean:
How did we go from discussing SKS to discussing Curtains?
Translation: Sks will not get any attention/updates because "no one" is skinning anymore and WB is going obsolete. It's CURTAINS for us skinners.......See what I did there? First of all, I LOVE SkinStudio! I've been using it since version 4! Sks 6 saw a complete revamp of the interface which had a lot of people up in arms complaining about the new interface (anyone remember the clickable preview funtion we lost?) We finally got used to it and didn't look back. SkinStudio has stayed more or less the same since v6 with some major and minor updates as we have traveled through xp, vista, 7, 8.1 and finally 10. I have no problem with the inter
For what it's worth those shadows did look great though. They did cause a couple of problems. The line between "personal preference" and "something that should be fixed" is sometimes blurry to me.
I absolutly agree. They were causing problems for me when trying to grab a windows under another...the shadows got in the way. Anyway, I've reduced the shadows by half....now the skin goes into moderation....which could
I see the problem with the spread of the shadows on the frame. I could do some modifying and reup the skin. In the meanwhile, go into the WB config and select "do not use per pixel frames" in the settings. It won't be as smooth on the corners, but it will fix your problem.
Oh yeah, baby!

This happens to on a regular basis. It seems random only because I can't pinpoint what triggers it.
So, I'd like the the hovering over text color be different. Is it possible?
Sorry, no. Text color is controlled by the window text color in the colors section. There is no way to have different states on mouseover.

With Start 10 and OldNewExplorer installed, your windows 10 should act pretty much like win 7. With a few exeptions..... If you're skinning for W10 exclusively remember: 1 "Aero peek" taskbar popups don't skin. 2 Don't bother with taskbar jumplists. 3 tool tip only works for mouseover on items, so don't bother with the "arrow", close, and config btton. 4 right click on desktop/taskbar uses a combo of classic colors and graphics. The menu backgroun
Nais! Hey! why don't contributing artists or at least Master skinners have unlimited downloads here on WC? Seems to me it would be a given.....
Just a fun novelty I did for my Windows 10 lockscreen that I wanted to share with you. Xp style "logon" for your windows 10 lockscreen. These don't work as logons per se, but when you click on the screen the image blurs and your normal logon icon appears. Link to the graphics: <a href="https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/graphics/

Wow, Mike! Good to see ya! I'm also semi retired from skinning but managed to squeeze one out this year after a 3 year break. Would be awesome to see a new I.R. original again!
