Here's a thing to remember: The section called "show me skin colour presests is essentially a LIST of colors available to use the dropdown menus of the text settings in the different sections of the skin (Start menu, window frames, buttons etc). One usually chooses the colors you want to have in the skin there for later use while setting text colors for the different sections. If you change a color there in the PRESETS, it may change several areas at once because that color has been chosen by

I put in the new battery and plugged in the power cable. This time the battery light stayed lit. I then waited til it turned from yellow to green before powering up the computer. All's well.....I was just being impatient by not charging the battery for a while before starting up. Power problems with my laptop in Laptops WinCustomize Forums

Having some problems with my laptop. I'll try to describe the issue in detail. A couple of months ago, I noticed that the ac adapter cord had loosened from the power brick. It still worked fine, but I thought it may be a hazard in the long run. I decided to replace it. Welcome to the annoying world of WB skinning. Compromise will always be a part of it, I'm afraid. Most of the crap is due to OS limitations rather than WB/SKS but it may take some time to figure out all the "rules"........and how to break them! Sometimes the compromises made actually force you to think differently and end up producing a better skin in the end. And sometimes the limitations just make what you want to do impossible.
