well, i like quantity, but quality comes first. to main the snack analogy: would you eat a bag of chips which taste like crap?
AlcariAmbaron
non-canned probably means procedural, i can't think of anything else it means...
wow, I really can't tell if a game is going to be any good, just by looking at the number of discs it comes on...
well, 28 here, means at least several hundred beta testers then.
hmm, actaully i prefer a much simpler system. simply make a buildque. It would work like this: click Scout 4 times click Battleship 1 time click cruiser 2 times click support 1 time click scout 2 times click "repeat production" button in the que, to loop this production as often as you want. When resources run out, the factory setting will decide wether it will continue building something else (requiring other resources) or wait for more.
Meh, tapes? luxury, in my day (not really but bear with me) we had this one big yellow big, with two fixed controllers and ONE game! four colors? vanity! we had only two. but yeah i wonder how you guys ever put up with those loading times. I remember thinking Doom's loading time was annoying, but then again, I was a sega/snes kid.
Does this wise person work for ID?
indeed, febuari 29th won't come until next year My vote goes out to the 19th though, for being a monday and I can always use some good news on mondays
*PC fanboi here* yeah, to bad it's not true. Macs for fun? you can do podcasting, music and film on PC, AND actaully game on it to. The others adds, well sorry guys. Mac's are for old ladies and graphics artists...sorry
I didn't hate it, but it's a damn shame they didn't make it a lot better. == There's far to little you can do with your planets. == The galactic map is a mess. Path's make no sense and it's near impossible to get your barings, 2d would have been much better. == battle are to small, you can only command 3 battleships and a pair of, near useless, destroyers at the same time and only after quite a significant ammount of research AND a command ship. == strategic map makeup
hehehe, every game released in Germany gets translated, just like every movie and tv series gets lip-synced. needless to say, it kind of a national running gag about our eastern neighbors.
hmmm, no PCgamer in story in the Netherlands either, so i'll just have to hope someone is willing to share a few scans of the pages....nudge,nidge, wink, wink...
actaully i meant, the game's name is not Sins of THE solar empire.
first game i played, I think, would be something on the atari, galaxian. then a sega megadrive (go sonic) moving on to amiga (go lemmings) then to a pc (Dune 2 ftw)
note, it's only an hour and few minutes long.
wrong forum dude
nice list Added to my new "Keep an eye on this game" list Disciples II: Dark Prophecy was one of best turn-based fantasy strategy games of last few years. It was released in 2002, around the same time such "monsters" of this subgenre like Heroes4, Age of Wonders 2 and Etherlords were released. Bwhahahaha, where are they getting
starcraft 2....maybe, but not likely
In addition to Sins of a solar empire, we will also play/are playing Supreme commander. Anyone willing to join BDU may drop by on Our fourms
Congrats ironclad, that'll generate quite some free pr for the game, which will be much appreciated by the community (the bigger the better.) well, my top 6 so far 1 Supreme Commander 2 Sins of a solar empire 3 Halo 2 for PC 4 Hellgate london 5 Spore 6 Halflife 2 7 Crysis Sorry guys, sins is not on top, for the simple fact that Supcom will be here first.
people own 30" screens? and i thought my my 24" was huge. 2048×1536 (go 4:3!) is my max, not that I can actually read anything at that resolution. 1600*1200 is fine by me My bet goes out to 17th febuari, for being a monday. Still, having a set release date will get more people pre-ordering. To the casual observer Sins still has a high vaporware feeling.
well, there's one good thing about supcom. We europeans get it early for a change. (as in, we don't have to wait for months after release) and as long as they made it work for 2 dualcores i'm happy. The beta now loads one cpu to 99% and the other to a whopping 4.3% --> choppyness also, it's not likely that you've never seen a BSG episode if you're on these boards.
hmm, I'd go for BF2142, for the sole fact that i must have logged hundreds of hours. Were it not fot the fact that it wasn't all that new... So it's Oblivion.
Lighting is still poor though; I would like to see a large lens flare effect or similar when looking into that sun. please don't, or at least make it optional. I liek shiny, but i really, really hate lensflare and 'shinyfiers' that take up hald my screen. Not sure why but the light on the capital ships seem reversed. The capital ship infront seems to be illuminated on the side that is not facing the sun. no, the sun is being 'us' with the ba
well, i'd probably judge with my rating starting at "SEE. MOVIE. NOW!" all the way down to "The DVD is most aerodyanmic" this one is likely to rate "rent sometimes or watch at someone else's place"
