hmm, i should have started reading this sooner, it's very interesting. I recall there beind shield arcs, so this should probably apply to each arc individually. And I agree on there being some kind of limited cumulative effect, Say a weapon with damage 100 shoots at a shielded ship, lets say for calculation ease that all hit occur within generally the same timeframe. First hit, and the shield arc gains 100 damage, and 20% mitigation Second hit, within a small time, shi

Opera does the exact same thing without annoying third-party stuff. I'm sure some FF plugin does the same. Getting it over EAlink works to. The walls did seem so very usefull. but somehow "it slows down the pace of the game" so they're not buildable. them blocking fire from low units, but not big ones. Same as in FS I think.
damn kids, get offa my lawn! at any rate, the youngling here seems to be right. Barter does make more sense in a system where a small number of sides are at semi-war. Can't really see one side saying "No well give you this ammount of fictitious credit for you real crystal, credit which can of course be traded for anything we have and want to trade, asuming we feel like it and you haven't screwed us to hard and we're in a good mood "
depends, if your AM recarges pretty slowly normally, it's usefull to refuel during system hops and to mbush enemies trying the same.
wow, that was wierd....did I step into the twilight zone or something? I agree with schem.... you cant "tell" and "not tell" Sure you can, you can have both "tea" and "no tea" can you not? kudos to who get it.
livespan is not quite the same as what you're describing now. you'll still be able to play this game in 2015, but don't expect 2015 games to run on you current mainstream system. You'd need one of them bigatom machines for that
define compat i ble . it'll probably run, but run like manure in an old bucket. That is, if we're talking 5 years behind mainstream. 5-7 years ago, we were happy with Dx7, win2k was new, we were running 166mhz cpu's and had at best 256mb's of ram.
yeah, that's what i thought as well, except that in PI there was nearly no tactics at all. winning tactic was to spam carriers.
yeah, the bombers are way overpowered, especially GDI because of the orbital flight thing. It's instant death for conyards. You change the player-side or artificial player behavior by first opening the corresponding drop-menu, clicking the item you want, then hitting the key that corresponds to the first letter of that item (i.e. N for NOD), and sometimes clicking the item again. hmmmm.trying now
oh by the way, Grace Park's acting SUCKS! it's truly dreadfull, it almosts hurts to watch it. I've seen pre-schoolers act more convincingly.
Ok, playing devils advocate here. U got to play NOD!? I cant. I could only play GDI, I will have to take another look at this. got to play against NOD, and stole one of their avatar mechs, which is indeed underpowered compared to mammoths but, i asume, can be far stronger when canibalising some things. At any rate all I know is that the Black Hand = gay overpoweredness. When I had my troops in a buil
Yeah, P5y, but the girls DO pull over and ask for directions as for girl gamers, dated one some year and a half ago, and she would kick my ass in Quake3 about 2 out of 3 times. (which would lead to me being rediculed at every lan party), then again, i'd beat her with just about every tactical shooter (close call) and RTS (massacre). why? I guess the FPS thing is reflexes, and the tactic
fallout3?? hmmm sounds interesting. Also i'm sure 2007 will bring 2008
Shhh, SPOILER ALERT! you fool
C&C3, (go grab the demo!) sins, crysis, spore (it'll rock, it has to) Halflife E2 (then E3) halo2 pc (gotta have a mouse) ps, multiana, denmark hasn't had a realm for quite some time now. Dutch myself, pretty close to the UK.
Number 6, Lt. Raszcak, Lando calrissian, Sharon "boomer" valeri, Dr. cameron, John Huck... this is going to be one confusing game downloading it now, if the gameplay turn out crap, i'm still curious about the whole storyline. BTW: wasn't this out by the 23rd?
"we've decided to push the beta to the end of March" I sense a great disturbance in the force, it is as if a thousand souls cried out in agony, and were suddenly silenced.
keep your distance and keep blasting, sounds like a perfectly valid tactic to me.
three hours of ogg. nice, better clean up my ipod then
wow, my weekends are sacred... major kudos to the devs for working weekends.
and of course, microsoft will be microsoft...
yeah, orbital domination, but those planets are the same size. wouldn't the orbits be very erratic? It would be a miracle that they've even formed like that, let alone survive for millions of years. anyway, the new designs look like my videocard is going to have a very hard time dealing with it.
erm, i'm not supporting your point... none of those have a T or K in the name.
neh, i don't really think they're to wierd. still, the system is far to full for my taste. Fewer planets would make things more realistic as well as strategically more important. If you have to many planets you are tempted go "Oh well, to bad about that one, good thing I have 12 more in the system.
I don't mind building major structures like research facilities and factories, but having to click through hundreds of individual power generators and farms (hello SupCom) is not fun. Double click a generator, it selects all on the screen. besides that, it would be nice to have presets for what is build on a planet (a la Imperium galactica) I do agree on the concept of infinite harvesting places, which are undepleteable (harvesting migh
