hmmm, wonder how much those of us who ordered a year ago get charged... then again, with the changing exchange rate, the price is still somewhere about 55 euro, which is normal CE price over here.

you can expect your GTX to sit pretty, you can easily manage the high settings. It does look shiny, but it's no Crysis ;)
Hey, no matter how much spore delays, they'll still beat DNF.
My planet's better :p
Neutral? What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?
it looks better because... its not there?
It's better because you can't see it in the dark. Like with most things :p
Wow, buddha, your english makes me almost ashamed to be dutch... so, here's the answer in dutch, for you, and all the other dutch people who need some help (at least three here): Als je met customer support mailt, heeft Kryo gezegd dat het goed mogelijk is gewoon een cheque te sturen, en dan sturen ze je spel terug. Verder is het niet Stardocks schuld, maar de schuld van de europeanen die het spel niet willen verspreiden. Je kan, na release, ook gewoon het spel online bestelle
People, it's not that hard to grasp. There are scenarios where having the 600/50/100 is worth more in the early game then having the tech in the early game. Mica has shown a great example of how slowly the tech pays for itself, so that one could THEORETICALLY spend the money elsewhere for greater effect. How hard is that to grasp?
Fuury, Welcome! Don't worry, beta-testers will be a relatively small percentage of those playing the game once released. Normally what we like to do with new players is to set up locked team games with experienced players and noobs. Its a good way to get the hang of things
Well, the analyses of return rate is nice, but it's useless without knowing the return rate of other techs and buildings. I know for sure it's better to build a second mine, instead of grab the tech, but other ways to spend the money aren't so obvious. What, for instance, is the return rate on another frigate? What is the cost of the time a colony frig needs to recharge after a jump? and, Schod does have a valid point. If you have "spare" money (that is not needed at the moment), th
Erm, some advice to those living in europe: Nearly every single bank offers a VERY cheap debit card (credit card without credit), mine costs 1.50 euro per month. It has a normal mastercard logo and works everywhere. If you plan on buying things online, go ask the bank. Kroaxs: Rabobank, Postbank and ABN all offer them. otherwise, paypall works great.
of course, cheating online should be impossible. But people will still want trainers in singleplayer.
All I can say is that it definatly *feels* increased after the research. You can start just that bit faster.
niiiiice I'll apply to all my forum accouts right now
the game already has an issue with choke points, that would only exacerbate the issue. Not really, with the extended gravity well, unless a system is fortefied with a mobile fleet it is very easy to skip over planets.
But, we know nothing about how big the grav well will be, and how much of it will be suited for building in. I asume this is what is meant by "Orbit radius", but we don
I agree with schem on this one. (A sign of the apocalypse?) If you want to rush, bring a marza for planet bombing, not a carrier. It's not just about winning, it's about making it count, and that's rahter difficult with a carrier. Add the fact that the Sova works a lot better as a supporting ship, with other doing the heavy hitting, it's not a great choice for a small, early attack.
If you mean the Analog sticks then I prefer them over the mouse since, say, if I want to turn 360 degrees. I may (depending on control sensitivity) need to move my mouse along the desk and halfway across the room OR go halfway (180 degrees) then lift up the mouse and move it to its original position and move it the rest of the way (then move it back again).
Or, you know, you could set the sensitivity up a bit higher. If I move my mouse one standard mousepad size to the right,
Doesn't matter what that building in screeny 13 is. It does matter that smoke doesn't rise upwards in space.....
no, Bob, the naked Chinese Capitalist Panda! ((ask eet))
We don't want to know.
In fact, ordering directly from Stardock is the *only* way of getting the collector's
Yes, makes sense actually. Cutting out the middleman (store owner) means more profit for Stardock and Ironclad. Thus I think it's very nice of them to offer us a CE in return for that. It's Win-Win<b
Funny, I recollect numerous "semi-skilled" players losing to a.i. in games such as Supreme Commander (even a few experienced players succumbed) , CoH (hard setting, since they admittedly cheat on the harder settings), Warcraft 3, Homeworld 2, DoW (even with its blatantly bad a.i.), and there were a few more titles, that I can't recollect....Oh, wait, Kohan 1 & 2
Yeah, I lost the first few games as well. And then I knew what I was doing and started winn
8? That made me smile. Playing 1v3 hard ai's I can assure you 8 would get you beaten I can assure you, I can handle 5 AIs at a clickspeed of 3, it just depends on what point in the game I'm sitting around watching my empire
I beliebe your claim was about a clickspeed of 8 in any given minute, not on average ;)
What I don't understand in all of this is why Craig just doesnt pretend to be Blair, log on to the forums as him and tell Schem that no one wants to play with him... ever
That would be an acceptably evil thing to do to schod :p
Technically it is still tied to how many planets you have. The more planets, the more logistic slots, and thus the more research centers.
That was what I was thinking as well, but it's much more indirect now. You need less of a landgrab now to still maintain a proper fleet.
I totally agree, people who steal the game are worth less then nothing.
and at the very worst, you could contact about doing a mail order with a cashier's cheque for USD.
See, this is why you rock. Try that with EA and they will laugh in your face
Or just wait for the demo
Is that confirmation?
