I'm more curious if it creates shrapnell damage I dont think this was answered in the last forum...
Schod
It's so hard to spot a Stardock member that it's frightening. You sound literally like one of us! I guess that's a good thing. personally I think most people on this forum sound like they belong in IC or SD...
For example, some modern simulations that are taking IBM's Blue Gene supercomputer years would only take a quantum computer a matter of seconds. yeah SciAM has an article on quantum computation, and if they could actually make one (currently they are highly theoretical, and the phyisics behind the concept, while confirmed, will take probably cent
I cant wait until they compactify some quantum computing technology xD, although its going to be at least half a century before *that* miracle becomes a remote possibility for market
*shrug*, still, to put all that in memory for 1000+ ships... I hope you have a really nice computer multianna...
*shrug* as similar as the screenies look together the actuall gameplay is the only thing that can be measured here, and keep in mind that the things that really drag on the hardware aren't the things out in the open but then again, everyone has different definitions, so I wont rake on you just because we dissagree
-_- you dont see the huge, glaring differences between the two do you...
wow multianna, your asking for a ton more than you would think... as sweet as that would be the cost of the game and computer to run it would probably be remarkable, like kryo said, you couldnt stick with a twisted 2-D image of a ship any longer, you'd have to create a 3-D complete replica which is insane... although it sure would be sweet xD
I dont think the original nexus was remotely that close. all things considered
exactly, you cannot expect a normal computer to play in that detail, and its just not worth playing otherwise... ...unless if your... um... in it for the strategy...
Why wouldn't they release a game with so good an engine that looks so close to release? either they completed that one ship, and nothing else, or... maybe they were making promises they couldnt live up to.
yes, I caught the mistake I made, I read "will" instead of "can" changed the whole context of the sentance
but that would mean some people would have to sit on a standbye mode, thats boring.
it's ALWAYS good to have a massive fleet as law said, creating a massive fleet rather than a moderate sized one will probably only slow down your expansion as I always say, though, technology hath no maintenance cost
I agree although tracking the missles was fun
There is currently no hard limit to the number of things you can build in orbit (there is lot more space and one piece of space terrain is no more or less useable than another unlike the surface). However, you are limited by what you can afford. wow, so another soft cap... this could be really interesting, because I can see now that the
I think its just maintenance although this is a good question
Are there also limits to orbital structures? well... I would think there has to be... And if there are, do they share the limit with ground buildings? that would be odd... unless ther
All of my comment was comparing Ascendancy with GC2 for medcatt... oh woops damage at random" was that you couldn't precisely tar
IC is developing the game themselves and are the final authority on what goes into it. I have to say... this is really good news. seriously, too many games have been ruined because a publisher demands a developer spam crappy games instead of making quality ones. I'm really happy that IC has latched onto a publisher who sees the bigger picture.<br
yup, I think this was handled more than a few time on the old forum. but still, If there was an "invaders from space" mode where a new player would get one outer-rim planet, that would be pretty sweet although there would have to be restrictions to keep a clan from getting 20 people all on at once, for instance an alliance ban.
you know what would *really* be sweet? if you had a dev just showing a small siege (with a little video commentary) surely that cant take too long
Otherwise the planet system is pretty similar (of course the actaul effects of the buildings and the economic systems are completely different, and Ascendancy has population which limits how many buildings you can operate until you get Automation tech). so you actually get to place buildings and stuff? that sounds cool. but it raises a quick quest
you can easily aclimate to all those things. what really bugs me is that all there is to seperate the genius me from all you meh-ish people, is my name and a small 1.5cmx1.5cm picture.
well, all I heard was wave after wave of criticism about the battle setup... I didnt exactly track their sales either way, I haven't seen a single post (other than the dev post) defending he 2-D setup.
