AHA! wrong aldy, you are wrong! can I see my embossed silver foil? /drool
Schod
shut it kosc
Well, Schod may be good, but I doubt he'll beat Blair, who has had months of practise with the latest builds. Still, I'll root for ya Schod.
thanks, although I think I have a chance because he wont be as used to beta 4 ;p
Yeah, in a game were we both agreed that had I grabbed teh dead asteroid instead of you I would have won
we agreed that the game would have been more difficult for me had you grabbed the asteroid, victory? I'm not so certain. dont twist my words Ron, thank you.
And it still took you forever and a day to actually win, said win being based on ping-ponging your fleets.
excuse me? do you want me to show you how fast I whittled you away? I have the repla
I could be, theres only one problem... no matter how much gel I put in my hair, it simply wont stay pointy :P
the command cap has been moved up to beyond your concern :P so bigger battles can get flowing on larger maps.
aldy they dont give us a picture :NOTSURE:
this game has got nothing to do with uber-clickers. I believe my click count is ~8-25 at any given minute, and I'm just fine thank-you. its based on strategy and resource allocation, not clickspeed.
ooh man that brings back some good laughs
ah yes, like you and emperor failing to break past one planet with all of your two combined armies  if you want replays go check out the FFA thread. that one went meh because I was rusty, but its more than good enough for your purposes. again you guys are bringing up the only 2 scenarios that I've ever failed spectacularly, and let me tell you something: there are plenty of examples where I have turned this
in any case I've played you more than once, in cases that did not end in your favor.
you had significantly more than 20 fleet points, and you skirted all of those defenses. anny you did well in that match, and I betrayed all of my covenant points. key among them being: DO NOT STAGNATE. I fucked up, you did well, but still its just one match! quit being such a trolling lunatic, beat up some more people THEN come challenge what I ask for. why do you even goddamn care? this is something Blair promised me a month ago, I'm just asking for my fair fight and
Anny if you think that losing your cap ship at the beginning is a death sentance, you need some serious practice. like serious, damn hard practice.
I won our 1v1.
ah yes, the one where you got the volc and I was forced back into a corner based on number of units... I remember that one... *shrug* basically thats been the only flaw in my record, still doesnt stand ground for judgement in any case go over to the "FFA done right" thread and DL that replay. I
they bait and switched on us :P fine by me, I would have gotten the CE anyhow.
aha, you mean losing my ship. yes, it wasnt the best start off, but I quit only contingent on the fact that I had to restart the game 3 times, any chance at victory was slim at that point (against a human) and because frankly, I'd had enough already. I wasnt beaten by the computer, it claimed a single ship. that catalyzed my frustrated leaving, but I left because ultimately I would have been beaten by a player. now I'm, at best, slowed by losing my capital. just ask Dere
yeah, you were kindof picked on by the pirates, werent you... but the truth of the matter is that fast and sustained combat can actually be a defense against pirates, which is what saved my ass several times.
but I was worried about Schods boasting having some bearing on reality..
with the battle on two fronts I was close to swallowing those words at times, luckily I was able to ballance the ingress and egress of both battles to maximize my defense and offense.<br
yes, but its defenses are paper thin.
again you fail to understand what happened... *sigh* I left the game because I didnt have time to break through his rediculous defenses, it wasnt a tie I simply was out of time. of course, someone like you, who has only survived more than 30 minutes because players like multi and emp have been watching your 6 and helping your 12, would never understand that.
the AI has never beaten me eets, I dont know where you're getting this from :P in any case the fact that I've soundly crushed you and several other "experienced" players in a multitude of times speaks for itself. if you're talking about hte one time where I said "screw it" because my computer kept crashing? fine, my computer beat me. but the AI has not /throws eets in a benzene pyre
:P I get the feeling that if I labeled this thread "blair..." he would be less interested in what message it contains.
:D and thats where you're wrong... its not rushing at all! its just guarding against any sort of stagnation of the defensive lines, if you try to remain behind a wall of turrets I will outproduce and smother you! likewise in games where I've tried to hide behind a wall of turrets I've been soundly defeated. its not "rushing", that is simply not possible in sins. its about making offensives exactly like in any realistic war. If you stagnate you hand off initiative t
oooooooooooooooh... can we see?
If my asumptions are not incorrect, the game is or will soon be going gold. I believe yonder back in some forum post long ago you agreed to fight me after said event. I believe the planets have alligned, and the Gods have deemed it time to finally engage in epic combat! ARE YOU WITH ME!?! so when/where? what map?
doesnt say anything we didnt already know ;P
well he can beat you
and... well I would list, but it would be incredibally asinine and unescessary and provocative, so lets just say a lot of people.
if this is going to be anything more than a 2 step ladder you are going to want to dedicate more than one day to it, some games can last hours on end.
the biggest obstacle towards quick multiplayer now is people's adamant adherence to the crappy strategy of turtling. while it may seem initially effective the person who runs around offensively grabbing from other people will eventually outproduce you, and then will proceed to beat you over the head. thats even IF they have to fight on multiple fronts at once. (esp if they are vasari, can you say phasegate banonza?)
[link="http://www.mediafire.com/?ddzmysecbml"]Schem/Avy/Derek/Conan game[/link] this was a 4 way FFA under which I was almost everyone (save avy's) main opponent. the game went rather well, although I am apparently the only one with hefty amounts of time dedicated to Beta4, so I was at a bit of an advantage (something everyone else knew, which is why I was hounded the most) in the end it was a fairly good battle. Unfortunately Derek was unaware of the new properties of culture,
