it sucks in that its too easily bypassed, perhaps with good reason. in any case its just irritating that its not a perfect defense, of course you and I can live with it better than the less-blessed, ron.
Schod
"should be" I *really* hate it when you guys use that phrase, it always comes back to haunt you.
I'll ask Tesla to turn it down a notch.
um... its part of the storyline!
on the first day God made Blair, and it was good. but blair became lonely, so from Blair's kidney's came craig, and for a while it was good. But then these two got bored, so from the tears of a dragon arose IC and the idea of a massive 4xish RTS, and so it was good. But then IC was lonely, so god made Stardock (toss in a few pink space ponies, plasma rubber chicken guns and a transvestite forumie or two), and it was good. at about this time the garden of eve-n and homeworld was getting a bit cra
what would be cool? released "events" much like in an MMO, only of course it would be individuals instead of groups (Lans maybe...)
wait, whut? we already knew this!
when you've done as much good to the world as IC you get a little leeway with your giggles.
sleep-running around?

carebearhug! *blazes down Anny with a giant lazer of love and warmth and doom*
Sins is the little boy on the corner who says "I want to be this big!" stretches his arms wide... wide as he can... then goes fantastic four on your ass, bam!
photino there are already countermeasures to "bottlenecking", namely the ability to phasespace in to a 1/5 region of the grav well. as for if a couple safety placed turrets will break my defence? they wont. I just feel like its a check up with your doctor: yeah its unlikely that your sick this one time, but is it really worth it to miss? Edit: reading over my other post I realize I mixed my sentances up: heres what I mean in regards to the divvying of the planes for the placed
hardly! just use the tilde key! as for "if anyone", thats anything but a respectable rebuttle. it works with mustard gas and nuclear weapons, "I wont use them if nobody else will".
*stares inside the empty cavern* wow, theres a whole lot more in here than I expected... a whole lot of nothingness... seriously! its like a bag of holding +5! *sticks arm in down to his shoulder* I dont even feel the bottom!
I don't know why anyone would want complete Z-axis building placement in the first place...
/shakes head obviously you have not played the game, so I'm not going to bother responding to this comment.
What about 4D ?
yeah, there are a few of us who have trouble with these lower dimensional games...
*wacks warlok with a giant, spiky, tetnus infested spike club, repeatedly* stop or I will hurt you!
that seems to be an issue lately. *pulls out giant scalpal* I can help you with that! *begins to cut into the back of kosc's head*
if the ship movement was 2-D ron then I would call the game 2.2 D, or maybe just 2D. no I'm just talking about the placement of structures. no, the option isnt there for anyone, at all. hrm, maybe I should remove another point for the lunacy of the placement of the 3-D button (and the fact you have to use the MOVE key to use it! *shivers*) but I'll wait until final release to judge that. although saying that the game comes in full and complete 3-D I find... distasteful, its "shiny"
Yes, but it won't be made of linen, stone, or precious metals of any kind.
diamonds??? really?
Sins is 3D and the people saying otherwise are simply spreading FUD
are not, I call it 2.9 D because this:
I agree being able to fly over guass cannons is stupid
is a more than legit concern.
No, the 3D placement of structures is random and not player-controlled.
... can I say that was a particularly [i]b
Micaletti, 0-Gravity does not nullify inertia. Your breath, no matter how bad it may be, will never move a 20-pound missile without some sort of mechanical advantage, be it pistons or leverage.
well it can move it, just not to any significant speed very quickly. rotation is a completely different concern however. I assume that you would use them for adjusting torque. hah! a bit more cultural diversity then I was expecting :P
Hahaha! I guess thats what Einstein meant, "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
ah I love that quote, especially when it gets interjected with "plasma rocks!!!"
Wow those old graphics are painfully primitive at this point. Really shows the level of improvement, though.
sadly I kindof prefer the old ship and platform designs (some anyway) esp. with regards to the vasari... ah well, its not like what we currently have isnt kickass :CONGRAT:
he's talking about returning armada.
