I don't want to torture anyone but the Gamma is so much better than the betas. Basically, imagine the game with a huge % of the feedback from beta 4 implemented.
does the fact that you're talking about it absolve me of moral obligations? because I really hate moral obligations. (note, I am not subject to, asked of or confirmed of any legal obligations. if theres something I hate more than moral obligations its legal ones)
I don't want to torture anyone but the Gamma is so much better than the betas
*ribs frogboy with several very very hot steel rods* curse you and your elitist ways!
That's why the game was delayed... I recall it was supposed to be released in August 2007...
Dec '06 you twit, before they even met stardo
I don't know what use stabilizing fins serve in space...
 lets just say old conventions die hard. perhaps the TEC dont have time to build new missiles? although in all seriousness just pencil-shaped missiles would be BORE-ING!

what? I agreed with him all the way. I know from hands on experience that both Stardock and Ironclad are unique and very potent companies, even moreso together. as for whether Sins will make top of the year in RTS? I certainly think so, I definately hope so! and how am I a forumtard when compared to TGE -_-???
I then built mines were needed and i blow the rest of my resources on turrets. After that i play waiting game until i got more resources so i can do research and built more turrets.
yeah thats your issue 1) do not build a bunch of turrets at the beginning of the game, they are neither effecient nor useful in the backline planets (that INCLUDES your homeworld) they can rarely, if ever, stop a fleet 2) capture more than one alternative planet at the beginning
I hope they make easy mode easy. i just want to get to know the game but i am having a hard time with the comp always attacking me early in the game. i have lost.......well i just gave up 2 games in a row, i guess they can be considered looses. imo easy is kinda hard for me right now, granted i just got the game like 2 days ago.
that has to do with your build order, you are probably being far too conservative with how you expand early on.
The Kol seems to be more about destroying large numbers of weak frigates
the marza has far greater dps in total (from what I've seen) and it can keep other frigs from attacking your frigs (therefore costing you investment) so effectively its a much better frig fighter than the kol. in any case its weaker against other caps because its armor is nothing fancy (unlike the Kol and its lovely defensive abilities)

I could make a very disturbing comment about the form, function and name that people give the Vasari evacuator. but for my sake I'll supress the sick comments. in any case the whale ship isnt all that powerful... yeah yeah it can do a bit of degen, but thats hardly worth the tradeoffs.

Marza or the [kol analogue] for the vasari. those are the clear forerunners of the two races. the carrier is nice for a specialized form of slog and kite tactics, but the marza and [kol analogue] are the only ships that have the power nescessary for you to move quickly through planets and to bring the power nescessary to head to head combat. the Kol becomes effective at later levels, however it cannot compare whatsoever to the Marza when it matters: early on. as for the Vasari, despite the lower

OMG awesome! I really like the additional artistry, t'is very, very cool. however, I do note with mild dissapointment the lack of a lot of new material :P hrm... new question: what guides your procession along the fleet points research tree? same way that military/civ research stations stop you from going all the way to the top too quickly...?
I just installed wine .9.53 which came out yesterday and it doesn't seem to work at all... even winecfg seems VERY slow - but maybe it's just me. I'll keep playing with it but in the mean-time I'd recommend staying with .52.
see I told you running SoaSE on diluted napalm was a really bad idea.
