Reply to Can't update game; Impulse not Working in Technical Sins Forums

I have a similar problem at times. Press CTRL ALT DELETE, find Impulse in the list and end the process. Start it up again and wait a bit. You can see the update progress at the bottom left. When this is complete you should be good to go now. I think it gets hung up on its auto update. Make sure you don't have too many heavy programs open, and dont switch between them when its starting.

My best prescription for ETMM is to upgrade your video card drivers, and/or turn down your graphic settings so your computer can handle all the new textures. Try both and call me in the morning.

It would be interesting if video games took the same route as some artists in the music industry - shifting their profit generation towards live performances. It would a sad day if only a limited number of people could pay to attend gaming events to have exclusive access to high-end games.
