After spending most of Monday morning sitting waiting for someone to join, with no luck, is anyone up for a multiplayer game?
Soren pairs us up, we plan & play our 1st round matches , stream and post in the results thread and Soren updates the leaderboard. when the time comes around for Round 2, the round 1 winners repeat the process.
Stream via twitch or anything in specific, sorry I just want to make sure I do things correct. Cubit it appears I'm paired against you, when are you avail, I won't have much time the rest of
Thank you Island Dog, It was just disappointing to at first think it was still available then to find out it wasn't even if I wasn't really going to get it anyways (depending on what I was able to find out about it). However, thanks for the quick response.
Okay so how does this work?
Good Day Stardock!, I was trying to find additional information about this game as I never played the original games. Because I've started seeing more and more information about it I wanted to look to see what this game was all about. So let's start by visiting the website. That should at least tell me the basics to see if I was interested in the game plus, now that the holiday crunch is over and tax season is right around the corner maybe I could swing some
When waiting for individuals to join ones game, one will see another player enter the game, then exit, however, they still appear as a human player in the list of players. This shouldn't be. When they leave the lobby their player should be removed from the list of players as well.
I'm in if it's Tuesday evening or Wednesday, Next week Monday would also work.
Haven't tried playing multiplayer in a long time, lately anytime I go into the lobby and create a game I can sit there for hours with out anyone joining and when someone does many times they leave the lobby right away. :( Try playing with smaller map or adjusting the map features and see if that helps. I understand you shouldn't have to if the game supports it but, you may be able to play while they look into the issue. I would also suggest each of you create
Yes, that version keeps the settings saved. Thanks. I still think the resources should be lower on rare and minimum none but, I appreciate the heads up on that.
I tried to cut down the map settings to rare resources and no resource minimum and I see no change in the amount of resources on the map. I was trying to create a game where one could try to corner the market on one or two resources and that doesn't happen. Also when turning Ice off and when restarting the game it defaults to random. All the other settings seem to remember what they are so why does that default to random?
Other Questions... Why is it if your stock is all bought say 60/40 why is it that player B can still purchase player A's stock for the share price to make it 50/50 but, player A can not purchase their own stock for share value to make it 70/30? Not to mention why is it when player B purchases said stock (which would be in player A's pocket) Player A doesn't get the cash value of the stock, after all they would if they s
I would certainly like to extend the 1v1 games a little so that at least patents are viable. What do you guys feel like would be the best way to do that?
I would re-work steel factories and have them require something other than just iron. All other expensive items require at least 2 resources some even 3 see below... (xx) = default pricing... Iron (20) -> <str
Okay what I mean by well balanced. A well balanced company with a large enough reach makes or contracts out it's needs so It's not stuck paying a premium for goods it needs to run. So in this game you need power, water, food, oxygen, and assuming your base is not all linked fuel. So as a company I would want to look at cost/benefit to producing my own versus buying elsewhere. So a balanced company would produce 3 of the 5 to be able to support it's basic
Offworld Trading Platform seems to be getting me every time, I can't seem to get there. Here are a few more points and I've said this from the beginning (early Alpha) Game ends too abruptly Once you see a player is able to take over or has finances to take you over it's too late. No way to realistically block a hostile take over or even delay for X period of time. One's building their way up than boom game over
Yeah i have a game running which needed some exitement and finally along came the dreadlords event. I then noticed they had one pathetic ship and a planet inside my sphere of control which kinda made the moment more like a wet fart. There was an invader ship of mine only one turn away too.
Yeah when I ran into them in my last game, They popped up in my newly conquered area, sent one transport ship to their planet and the
Need more UP options, that is for sure, and one should be able to choose whatever resolution is unlocked at that point of the game, I don't understand why we are unable to.
Exploration treaties cause all sorts of performance issues, including horrible turn time on larger games. I hope they look at optimizing how this works going forward, such as only update map for everyone at end of turn instead of instantly or whatever it's doing now.
Exactly as above, the snathi revenge have no worlds yet won't die?
If a faction is still viable has star-bases or ships able to continue the faction on. They will not be destroyed.
Larsenex ..... Are you able to hint on anything your doing over the next year :) lol j/k.
2. Race-specific music-scores Race-specific music-scores for diplomacy, declaration of war and so on would be great. It would improve imersion in the game.
This is already in place for the core factions in the game, pay attention to how the music changes when you play or talk to these factions.
3. More equal starting positions; more than one planet at start I think, every major race should have more than one colony
When you found on top of resources you crush them and start with them in your resource bank. One way to expand quicker is to found in a big patch of something (say iron or water) and then you start with resources you can sell down. Robots have a special advantage in that they double the resources they crush. You'll normally see robotic players flying through upgrades.
This is something that I've done sin
I was trying to play the multiplayer game this evening. The main problem was I lost before I could even get started. How could the other player upgrade there base right away? I was building my base on a similar start position neither of us had debt so how could they upgrade right away? Otherwise I see some major flaws with starting a new game right now in multiplayer if you haven't played for a while or are new to the game. It's not ve
