Depends on the UAC settings for your PC. If I remember correctly, Sysmetrix skins are stored under C:\Program Files (x86)\. That's a no-no after Windows Vista, and, unless the application itself is running with admin rights (i.e. elevated), it will write changes to the the Virtual Store instead of the real themes folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\. This would mean that the application itself would see the virtual folder - but you, browsing with Explorer, would not.
