As far as problems go I had shut down computer as norm. But to play for days I turned off hibernation where hard drive doesn't turn off but goes into semi sleep mode ie: saves power exc. But the prob. is when I shut down and try to play again or resume my save when I click on icon the game starts with no picture on intro but can hear sounds and voice intro... and then I left click and go to setup screen which does not look like org. did. and if I start new or old game it only shows part of scree
Bought this great game last week. Loaded into comp. and found it didn't work... sigh. So I went online and found your awesome sight. Downloaded your 1.4 patch ran program which went online to re-register. Bang game was up and running fantasticly. Played about 5-6 hours had auto saves on and also saved game at end of night... I also went back to my doc's and removed all ships I had made to this point hopeing that would work but it didn't. all rmoved save are in my recyle bin and game still does not work. soooo what now?
Thanks for the quick reply. Though when I went to prefs.ini. The screen was set ay 1024x768 but the fullscreen was set =1 so I changed to =0 and saved. Loaded game and immediately did not see opening movie, hit left mouse and went to set up screen but rather then having options encased in white background they were Black writing and the screen was like in a full screen T,V, sort of. loaded my save and the game was shown super large where I can only see left half of Maps and Info screens. I had just purchased game and found it didn't work.Went to your sight and downloaded 1.4 patch. Which worked!!! played that eve. Next morning woke early started game and immediately noticed some thing wrong with screen. it had expanded like a wide screen but Iwas only able to see left side of maps exc. I tried to set my properities screen well past 1024x settings to no avail. I removed game, reinstalled and ran patch. Its working great! but when I saved and ended game and immediately ran game it
