I tried to post pics to illustrate, but that's apparently beyond me. When I start a single player game it looks normal. I select a scenario and go to the game setup screen. My player is setup as red... the 3-7 computer players are all assigned a unique color (each computer player is set up as it's own team, aka FFA). Everything looks good, but when I start the game, I'm suddenly a light green player and all the computer players (including pirates) a
dude... i can't believe you're up so late and responding to posts. this is why i'll pre-order every Stardock game. I'll try your advice on the auto placing. but to elaborate on the invisible.... i can see the ships in hyperspace, but once in the system they only appear when i zoom in and zoom out and find the right, very subtle, setting. but even when i can finally see them, i can't see and weapons fire or interaction with the defending fleet. usually it has a red cast to the ima
ok.... so i've: 1. restarted 2. reinstalled 3. unplugged mouse and keyboard 4. turned off and cut off the power supply 5. pulled my hair out it's still placing my structers for me. i'll keep you posted.
Just a couple things: 1. In large galaxys, often there are planets in which the ships become "invisible" when you zoom in. It's like all you can see is background texture, but the ships are still there and acting as normal. I'm sure you know this. 2. Also, I'm reinstalling now because I just started a game where it was auto-placing my structures. For example, I could build a defense platform and as soon as i clicked build, it began constructing in a location apparently cho
long time stardock player (love galciv), first time poster... so let me tell you... I bought Sins in beta after i was well enamored with GalCiv. And I love this game. Quick game play and the added bonus of having to research techs makes it a winner. BUT what makes it a loser is the AI. I can beat a medium game on "hard" in a hour. I mean really? an hour? the hard AI is terrible. fix it soon. you can't release it like this. my retarded 4 year old cousin would be bored. <br
