Most moons are just chunks of rock trapped by the planet's gravity into a stable orbit :P In that sense, technically every planet in Sins has moons - the resource rocks ;)

We don't know anything definitive about a boxed version. Tentatively they are planning on it, but they haven't committed to it.
It looks like the OP was posting from the Demigod forums, and Off-topic is shared between all of them. No idea on the status of Demigod, but I would say "probably not good".
Pretty much every major post-launch feature that was released in Diplomacy and Entrenchment came directly from the community. Starbases, mines (damn you, kosc!), giving AI missions - all of these ideas came from the community. Where stuff breaks down is when the community tries to suggest *how* to implement a feature. In this, the community doesn't have nearly the same considerations to consider as the developers - scope of the suggestion, knowing exactly how much time it should t
That's not quite correct. For example, using http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com you can download the full archives, save them on a disk, and then install them elsewhere. Otherwise, you can only use "Download and archive" within Impulse.. that way you will have to install Impulse on the computer you're downloading from, log in with your account, download it into the archive, and then move it over. This would be more difficult on compu
Well, can you download it somewhere else? Library or a friend? Then you can do that and save it on a usb stick and just install at home.
I agree with Tridus. SD may be good at creating sandboxes like GC2, but they have no experience with focused, detailed storytelling and content creation. It would be tough to make a very good RPG, but if they can pull it off it should be a good ride.
I hope it does end, that way I'll get to re-roll my character as another class. Wait, what are we talking about?
If imitation is the highest form of flattery, then I consider myself, and everyone at Danman Games flattered. We, and other modders like ManSh00ter, have had Titans for years now, and it is good to see we are being copied by the ones who make the game in the first place
And only you could be so arrogant. Super-capitals have been hotly requested by the community since the game's beta stage (as well as almost every other feature that's been included in Entre
Being able to buff your whole fleet's damage output and shield mitigation with a single Deliverance Engine >>>>> being able to destroy a single planet with several Novaliths (only because the AI doesn't really research the protection starbase upgrade). Novalith is the most worthless superweapon for a superweapon. At the end of a long game, what matters is that your fleet can wipe the enemy fleet, and then you can do whatever you want to their planets. Deliverance Engine
I'm planning on going Premium ;)
Yeah, the matchmaker just uses point values for vehicles, there's no measure of player skill for the matchmaking. I too have had matches against very good artillery players and it's a pain. And it can skew things pretty bad, especially in high tier matches. I've seen matchers there the enemy team's top vehicle was an Object 704 (best Russian tank destroyer, tier 9), and my team's top tank was a Tiger I (tier 7), because their team had more lights/low tier mediums.. but the
By 'pretty' I meant watching ships bounce into each other while trying to fly around and fight, not really weapon effects :P It's one of those high-effort, low-payout things. They'd need to do a lot of work to make it work and play right, and in the end it's just an aesthetic change. But hey, if these new corvettes are sufficiently small, I could maybe see doing it on them so you'd just have one ship class zipping around and it wouldn't be a big mess
Well, tbh I think it would be too much work at this point to change this and have it actually look and feel good. They've added the moddable option in every ship entity to make them use fighter physics. Anyone can turn it on in 5 minutes for every ship and see how good it looks when you have 2 maxed out fleets (it won't be pretty).
I've narrowed my starting line to either German mediums, all the way to Panther 2, or German TDs. Still dunno which I want to do first, though leaning to Mediums because they do have some bad ones (looking at you Pz III/IV and 3001P), and it would be good to get those out of the way while the majority of the matches won't be high tier, especially for the 3001P. For German heavies I plan to stop at the King Tiger, don't really have an interest in the Maus or Ausf. B.<
Scale ships down or make wells much bigger. increase weapon range all around. Ships sitting still firing at each other is SO 2008.
This makes absolutely 0 sense. How would shrinking ships or increasing ship ranges change ships sitting still?
What I mean by this is that the devs need to start listening to us players more, and opening their eyes to some of the great ideas we all have.
Very few ideas are actually great. In truth, the majority of them are horrendously terrible and do not fit with the game at all. And you know why? For the most part, the players/community goes "Wouldn't it be cool?" without actually thinking if it makes sense or what the effect on the game would be. On the ot
I've heard that the UI was drastically changed but I always wondered to what extent it changed?
The menus have been made friendlier and easier to access what you need without jumping through hoops. In addition, you can fly around with your mouse (meaning, ship turns to aim at mouse pointer) in addition to being able to 'free' the mouse to click on stuff.
So is X3-TC compatible with X-Tended or did they make a new mod for it already?
</p
When's the last time you saw a new DVD release not on a Tuesday? Or a movie not on a Wednesday/Friday? Or why do the vast majority of retail games release on Tuesdays? US and Europe both have their "days" when stuff normally happens. Ever notice how the difference is usually always 2-3 days? You might not agree with it, but it's most definitely not "arbitrary".
X3: Terran Conflict really improves on the overall UI/hud quite a bit over Reunion. There's still no real tutorial, but if you feel like giving X3 another spin you should at least like TC more than you liked Reunion. It also helps that TC introduces another faction (Terrans, bet you're surprised at that!), with pretty awesome looking capital ships: <img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/20/odinkl4.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height=
Hrm, it's not bad, but for me, "Memories", "Pale", and "Somewhere" are still better :P
Regarding number 2, i am not saying you are wrong but I would like to see where you heard that, maybe a changlog or something?
It was discussed/debated during the Sins beta test and the devs stated performance concerns as the reason why fighters/bombers have no collision detection.
Ships will already auto-attack everything in the grav well. What's the point of this?
Didn't the first game ship with DRM, which was then patched out? And the extended edition shipped without, I guess..
