Listen, I'm a simple guy really, I like to come on play a good game of SOSE and call it a night, nothing spectacular. I've got a beef though, something that has erked me for sometime now. It's not a big thing, just a simple fix would do...this little change of course would help me especially when 90% of the players you end with on your team end up quitting somewhere along the line of game play, be it 15 minutes into the game or an hour, it's envitable that someone on your team is

SOASE has been out now for a while, I've noticed multiplayer online activity is not all that great. On a good night (weekend) you might see maybe 10 players in the lobby and on the week days maybe 5 or 6. My question is: Do you think SOASE is dieing game or just beginning to become popular with online space strategy gamers today?

I'm curious is there a way to set control points so that your ships will automatically follow them outside of the Gravity well? Also, and this post may actually go into the Strat section of this forum but wanted to ask it anyway...What are the benefits of moving them around outside of the gravity well, I notice that some players will do that.

Presently, I'm running version 1.05, from reading this thread, everyone is talking about 3 and 4 beta's, 4 to be released soon, is this something that will be downloadable thorugh the Impulse download utility? Am I at the current version that I need to be w/v.1.05?

What would be a good build order for the Advent faction on a 1 star map with 25 to 30 planets? For example: 1.) Start out build 1 cystal extractor 2 metal extractors. 2.) Build one Capital Ship factory. 3.) Produce (1) Progenerator Mother ship. 4.) Produce (5) skirmishers (or whatever you know what i mean). 5.) Produce (1) explorer, set to automatically explore. 6.) Take entire fleet, Capital ship as wel

Don't you hate being told that something is going to happen and it doesn't. You can't build a successful company on lies. Your only as good as your word, when you tell people that the patch is to be released in the middle of July, release the patch in the middle of July period. Some of you will think this is acceptable behavior and a few smart ones will agree with me. This is unexceptable in my book and if I were running that company I'd of already fired a few people.
Pot calling the Kettle!!!You are picking a fight with the one member of the Sins Community (exluding Stardock/IronClad) that has done more to help others then anyone else - way to get people to support your point of view regardless of how valid it may or may not actually be.BTW - what is your online handle (itsmevic as well???). Just so I know if I ever play you...
Remember the name buddy. Smell it, smell it, now take it.
Your are getting attitude from myself and others as you gave it out first, you have shown no intention to take steps to fix anything by yourself etc...Did you ever think to ask The Monk directly for help instead of whining on the forums and complaining about being referred to a guide that alot of people have read and been able to follow???(And I don't need to be witty to make myself SEEM intelligent. I know I am... The witty stuff is just especially for you Doesn't that make you feel war

Duely noted my friend and thank you for your suggestion.@itsmevicReally?here once again is my initial reply to the first thread you made with your complaint.
all i'm saying in my original post is that it shouldn't be this difficult host a damn game, that's all nothing more. One shouldn't have to go in do this and do that, make changes here and there just to host a game.I've said it before, you cannot complain about owning a computer and not be able to operate it. Sometimes you have to tweak it to make it work (Add a new radio to your car and you may have to modify the dashboard to make it fit...same thing here). Go back to the old days of DOS

If you can't find anyone there, try Al Gore - he "commercialised" it.It's obviously their fault and not yours since they invented/promoted the technology you wish to use, but fail to understand!!! Do you blame the car maker if your car won't start because you don't know how to maintai
itsmevic,I haven't seen anybody half as nice and patient as Monk on the internet at all. I've already seen well more than a dozen posts that were answered in detail. Often the same thing over and over again.Thing is, this should never have been posted again when there was a ready answer for you, and it's framed as a non-constructive criticism.
thanks for your two cents it's always appreciated.

@ itsmevic What is the point of forum posts (and stickies) by the developers and forum volunteers if no one cares to read them, and instead create yet another post/thread complaining about things already gone over and covered quite nicely??? 1. IronClad Online is a matchmaking service, nothing is hosted by ICO. SINS is P2P. The HOST in SINS is a "host" in name only. All players in a SINS MP game run the entire simulation on their own PC, the "host" only SYNCS all of t
