Yeah, but Influence buildings are always a percentage, and ARE modified by bonus tiles. Same with Morale buildings. The Restaurant of Eternity boosts Influence, same as say, an Embassy, except for your entire Civ. So the question is, does a bonus tile still work on it?

There should still be some sort of penalty for say, colonizing the planet to my home world. Or for building all those influence starbases next to my colonies. Sure, I could go to war, but then I'm militaristic or a warmonger or whatever, and the other civs trust me less. The AI will provoke you, but then ignores that when you attack them.
I haven't had any problems with the free version of AVG.
4-Beef up the diplomacy a bit. For example, I should be able to say "Hey buddy get those influence bases out of my space (or stop building them) or I will kick your ^$#%^#..." And they should be able to say the same to me.
I've actually HAD the AI make comments about building bases near them. I could swear I have, anyway. I would like to be able to warn the AI itself off, though. It's always trying to flip my planets with those things. And on the comment, I gu
Frankly, it seems to me that changing the sliders IS the best way to play. If I'm doing research, but not building ships at the moment, having anything higher than 0% on Military Production is a waste. After all, reducing it to 0 lets me increase Research spending, and reduce the amount of time spent doing it. And if I'm not building any Planetary Improvements also, I can reduce that to 0 and make Research 100%. In other words, if you DON'T change the sliders all the time, depending
1- Ship Auto-designer. It's a little iffy right now. Not only does it apparently cheat (by adding more components than it should), it doesn't really do engines or anything. How about more focusing options than just offense/defense? 2- Ship Auto-designer. Again. Because currently it's the only way to get any armed ships unlocked without doing it from scratch. I presume this is because you can't have a 'default' version of the Defender (for example) because of the different techtres
Piracy is stealing, and stealing is a crime.
But stealing (larceny) is not the SAME crime as software piracy (copyright infringement).
Where exactly do I copy those files from Ship Configs to?
Yeah, but the template versions remove all the components when you upgrade them, even if you turned that option off.
That is NOT the problem. The problem is the editor just asks for the ID. Well, how the hell should I know what any of the IDs for techs are? I presume that's in some XML file somewhere, and if I wanted to dig through those, I'd be using an XML editor, or Notepad or something. When I click 'Add New...' I should get a list of techs to choose from, and double-clicking should add it to the tree. THAT would be a Tech Tree editor. What we've got now is just a fancy XML editor that has a
Hm. Here's a question I have sorta related... while the ship designer will automatically make say, Defender class ships for me, I don't get a default Defender ship unlocked when I unlock 'Space Weapons' or whatever tech it was. Is that supposed to happen? I never seem to get any armed ships except auto-designed ones. I mean, I can still access them from the Templates, but the normal ones don't show up.
I dunno, I managed to win a game with a Terror Star. Admittedly, it was a Tiny Map Beginner level game, but I won. BTW, a Star is worth 33 Military Points, apparently, because that was my rating when I won, and I had no other armed ships. Anyways, I was on a Tiny map with the Altarians, and the Dark Yor... the Altarians had just got the event that increased their influence, which was very annoying... I had 74% at the time, and then dropped down to like 50%. Wanting to see how
My main problem is when I use the TechTree editor it wants me to add new techs by ID. What? I was expecting like, a list of all the techs to choose from or something.
Damn, I really wish there was an edit button. I realize my refers to books, not games, but it's still a semi-valid rebuttal, I feel... at least to that point.
3. Piracy as a form of advertising? Sounds like a really stupid piracy rationalization to me.
[link="http://www.baen.com/library/"]Baen Free Library[/link]
When did I say I was proud? I simply don't intend to lie about it. And I'm not rationalizing anyting, at no point have I said I doing either the legal or moral thing. (Of course, I haven't said I think I'm doing something immoral, either.) But I want to go back to something else first.
Let's put this closer to the truth. Would you consider it immoral to walk out of a GameStop with a copy of a game, then come back and pay for it later only if you enjoy the game? I mean, if you
Tell that to the Judge when you give that one as the reason for stealing a Ferrari and see what happens.
I could make a comment about the differences between the theft of a physical item, and the theft of a theoretical sale, but you know the difference, and you knew what he meant. I can't take you seriously when part of your argument is a deliberately misinterpret what someone else is saying.
I download things because they aren't worth what they cost. No, not even GalCiv 2. It's not that I don't think the people making deserve to be compensated, but I'm not getting $50 of worth out of this stuff. Frankly, I don't have the attention span. I get bored way before I could get my money's worth. I pirated Dark Avatar... so what? I also have never completed a sandbox game (The only mode I even play). Ever. Should I spend $60 for Twilight when I know I'm going to play
