The tutorial included with DX explains how to get the objects to do what you want them to do, which is great. What I am having trouble with is creating the object to animate, i.e. I try to create an animated link to Everquest. I download a usable logo from the internet, mask-off the portion I want to use as a zoomer, but I can't figure out how to save it with a transparent background in a format that is compatible with DesktopX. I notice that most images are in either .bmp or .png formats.<br

I am in need of a definative tutorial on creating objects from bitmaps; i.e. using images, editing them with transparent backgrounds, animating them, and using them in DX. Is there anyone out there that can help me? I have Corel Draw 8, Photo-Paint 8, and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. Any help is greatly appreciated. -Hopelessly green graphics newbie.

When exporting I always get the same, "Image will be merged with background", even when there is no background to merge with! Any advice from

I am new to Desktopx and would like to try my hand at making some objects for myself. I have noticed that all of the animations for objects seem to be in .png format. After many hours searching the web for help and info, I have yet to figure out how to create them. Can anyone tell me which programs I should be looking at? I have Corel Draw 8. Any URLs with usefull info on this topic would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.g
