I have been a stardock customer a long time and I have never been disappointed with any of Stardock's games. Stardock's customer service and commitment to their clients is what the industry standard should be. They would rather spend their time and money on polishing the game than on advertising and promoting it. If you select the digital download and boxed version purchase option, you can elect to not download the game and wait for the boxed version to come in the mail. I don't know the waiting period on the boxed media itself, but sometimes it comes well after the digital dowload release, so you'll have to ask one of the support peeps about that. I am very excited about Elemental coming out this month. It looks like an awesome follow up to MOM, which I still love. Torin the Chosen, anyone? I am so stoked that Stardock decided to make this game! Very very cool! I hope they make their projected release date, but if they don't, it won't be a problem waiting for them to polish it up. Moo 3 was just pure garbage. Even with all the ice cream mods (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc) it still was a messed up piece of coaster trash that NEVER EVER deserved the Moo name. Just a real shame to mess up the Moo franchise legacy with the donkey doo doo that 3 was. As for Stardock & Generalisimo Wardell doing Moo4 in the spirit of Moo2.....all I can say is: FREAKING AWESOME!!! [e
Does anyone know where I can find a good strategy guide for Gal Civ 2 or provide links to one? (I have Twilight of the Arnor installed, etc) I'm a noob. What exactly are extreme planets? (This is in the setup where you are choosing the universe you wish to play in. There is a sliding scale: rare, common, abundant, etc.) How do extreme planets differ from ordinary planets? Is the planet size different or is it the climatic conditions of the planet, requiring tech improvements in order to colonize them? Thanks.

Hi! I downloaded TA off Stardock (SWEEET!!!) but I don't see any manual outlining how to use the wonderful new features the expansion has, etc. The manuals (Dark Avatar or Dread Lords) did not update with the new material nor does the readme mention it. Hello all. Sorry in advance. I'm an older citizen and new to these forums, so if I'm not posting in the right place, etc. etc. please forgive me. No insults intended. I'm just not greatly computer literate. I wanted to take a sec and say THANK YOU! to Stardock for the Galactic Civilizations 2 series. It is an outstanding collection of work and a real treat to play. I recently purchased the Twilight expansion and it looks just beautiful!
Excellent points and opinions for all who replied. I have a lot to consider. I do have version 1.4x, so thanks to Quixen for that recommendation, it sure woould make a difference if I didn't have it, considering all the changes Stardock has made!
