Oh! Yeah. Great battles could leave landmarks. Destroyed cities could become ruins which could house monsters and treasure (related to what the city was) and also could be cleared out and reinhabited.

I really really like this idea... Using essence a channeler could create legendary creatures... Maybe these legendary creatures could even breed and create more? Hmm...

I just turned 23, still living at home (I pay rent I'm not a bum), recently out of college, got my debts all paid off and never carry a balance on my credit card (although I use it for most things safer than cash or debit IMO) , no car payment, and 10k isn't all I have saved just all I have saved that I'm willing to invest. That's still leaving a few months worth of liquid assets.

I'm going to name myself Supreme Being of Elementalaria and they are my chosen children, the Kesselites. They in turn will eventually spawn their own 1 point children. Only the Kesselites and their descendants, being descended from the Supreme Being, will be allowed upon the land. All others must be expunged! Bwahahahahahahaaha! Yes dear, that's very interesting.
The way I think it should be, and is in most games with mechanics like this, is that only the max goes up and down. Thus, if you suddenly pick up a plenor crown and you're at 3000/3000 mana, you should then be at 3000/4500 mana. If you have plenor crown and you're at 4500/4500, drop it, and pick it up again, you should be at 3000/4500 mana.
Second this! Devs please fix this in the next patch.

In game achievements with their requirements and benefits limited to a singl game would basically just be quests...
As I understand the game, each faction is ruled by a magic chaneler. So why should they obey their master? Although there are legitimate concerns with the Zealots, this is not one of them: the Channeler's magic is seen differently from other magic- as a non-magical power that originates from the channeler himself. Sort of the difference between sorcery and mirales, in Christian belief.
Well the channeler's
Or will they be much bigger and you can scroll around like in AoW? There are lots of answers to your question in this forum. Just read the previous announcement - that about detail levels! We will see however, what map size will be available in the beta. However I don't think it would be important to have a huge map in early betas. Of course it will be important in the late ones. The overall strategy of huge worlds will definitely differ

I'm confused. I remember a battle picture similar to this coming out before and then everyone was saying how you (frogboy/brad) said that you wished you hadn't shown people that screenshot because it wasn't representative of what battle would be like (I admit I never saw the actual quote of you saying that). So is this then officially what the battles will be like? And if so is that the extent of the map size? Or will they be much bigger and you can scroll around like in AoW?

I think if you're paying mana upkeep to a creature you created from magic you are paying that upkeep to prolong it's unnatural life. Therefore when the mana cuts off the life force does also
Soon you've researched everything, and actually find the 'win by mastering magic spell' which you can cast, or just drop a rock the size of new Zealand on every opposing town, in one turn. Whichever suits you.
Sounds good to me. The whole idea is the actual "I win" button is pushed alot further back. It's still there. You just may never need it because you reach a point where you're capable of annihilating yo

I like real time combat as long as you JUST have to manage the combat in real time and the unit number is manageable enough AND the possible exploitation availible to someone who micromanages their units is minimal.
