Shield Mitigation ... what I think it does... in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

First off lets define "mitigation" - to act in such a way as to cause an offense to seem less serious... So the way I see it is, if you have all your ships (say 5 ships) attack 1 enemy ship, the first round of weapons fire will do 40% damage. The next round of hits will not be as effective as the shields will have in some way "adjusted" or "re-modulated" to not take as much damage when the second round of weapons fire hits the shields. Well yesterday on my day off, I tried to get my girlfriend to play the new CnC3 demo, she did pretty good and beat the Easy AI in skirmish playing as the CGI, but she didn't seem too interested in it over all, she sorta liked the single player story, so my hope is once I get the game and let her try the single player story she'll get addicted.

I will never justify belonging to anything that makes me pay twice to play it... Maybe if WOW was a free game to download and then pay monthly I'd give it a try, but I am not spending 50 bucks to own a game, that is useless unless you spend 14.99 a month to be allowed to play it...
