Impulse will be used for the game in digital form, and for all updates once the game is out in stores (boxed copy)... In theory you won't have to use impulse once you have a boxed copy, but then you won't be able to update it either... And prolly not be able to play online (depending on how online works with demigod)
sniff... I miss my spork... The loss of Scathis is like ripping the heart out of Demigod. And now with Mike Marr, or Tyo- that guy who was the Lead Balance Designer for Forged Alliance taking over its like the game has a artificial heart which should be ok... Heck Captian Picard still kicked ass with an artificial heart, I think Demigod will too!
Vista is Amazing , just give it lots of RAM. My main rig is a C2D e8400 @ 3.6ghz with 8gig of ram, and Vista 64bit uses about 25% of it when idle. My laptop is a C2D T5550 @ 1.8ghz with 3gig of ram and Vista 32bit uses about 30% of it when idle. It just wants RAM , lots of it. Both systems are super fast. ** I have XP Pro on the main rig also, as some older games just don't like vista.
You can build a pretty nice PC for around 600 bucks now, if you still use AGP on an old Mobo learn 2 save , and get a new PC [B][/B] :d

Joined it... mostly because I have way more friends on Steam than on Impulse.
20-50 min games are PERFECT. And I think 2v2 games are where the fun is :D
I read on shacknews there will be NO base building in DOW2... And it will be more squad RPG oriented...
I heard the beta comes with cookies, I downloaded the update for the beta (1.1) but did not get any cookies... *sad*

I know its summer, but come on, I had some free time this weekend, so I popped on ICO and to my shock there were 6 people online (TOTAL) and 4 of them were AFK...
