Congrats on making your weight goal for this month. I am so proud of you (and to be honest, if you hadnt made it....I would still be proud of you.......) So, guess what......I am due for a taping after the kid's birth and all......and I am at 36% body fat.......according to the Army. Favorable actions flag, here I come..........

Yes, this is a good question...Where are you Mr. Soldier? I miss you........call me sometime, slacker ; )
I wish there was something I could say to you to ease your feelings of guilt, but sometimes I wrestle with the same emotions. To be in the Army and not be able to get deployed is somewhat a slap in the face to me. Especially with all the Soldiers who go AWOL just to avoid their commitment. I wish I could say that I still wanted to deploy but my priorities in life have changed recently. I wouldnt shirk out of it though if I were tapped to go. You are
So, you, uh...purposefully avoiding me there, kiddo? I hope not..... I am sure your translation of this article was spot on. If you were doing then translating, then it must be so.
I really have to admire your ability to stick with all this documenting and meticulous calorie counting. I sure wouldnt be able to do it. I am starting to think about how I am going to get rid of the weight after the baby is born.....She (yep, just found out its a girl) is already a whopping 6 pounds and I still have a month and half to go. I am absolutely miserable, but it will be worth it in the long run. Any chance of you coming out here
You know what my #1 goal is right now? making it through my tour in the BN and not choking anyone. Thats my plan. I dont know how you remain so freaking optimistic all the time. Youre my idol.......
I posted a comment earlier last week (not quite sure why it didnt get loaded)....anyhoo.....you keep going back to the fact that you did not get chosen as NCOQ. Big fat whoop. The fact of the matter is this: After being kicked out of your previous board *and*being called the wrong name upon leaving did not deter you from getting back onto the proverbial board horse. You got back on and you went in with your head up. The fact that you returned afte
Dammit, Jim. Don't keep us in suspense, man....how did it go?
Not sure about "hottest" at the present time.....but thanks ; ) So, did they vomit on you yet?
I hope the little ones are better soon. Its no fun when your kids are sick and there is nothing you can do for them besides load them with meds and try to comfort them. I wanted to be your date......does that count?
I am not quite sure why, but this cadence is now my favorite. I think it is almost borderline Marine-esque in the sense of pride in the Army but at the same time it is a complete farce. I dont know what I am saying here, PS. Long day already and it isnt even 0900 yet. I still miss you though and it was really good talking to you. Tell SSG Geezer to drop Greywar a line if he is still coming out this way : ) LOVE YA!
Well, instead of toliet paper, we can just go Demolition Man and use the three sea shells : )
At least you can cook. If it werent for Greywar I might as well buy stock in KFC, Taco Hell, and Korean establishments as a good portion of my income goes into those places anyhow. Locomama is right.....a man who can cook is always sexy. A man that cook and clean is great, too. Anyhow, I hope things are going well for you out in the land of incompetence. I tried calling you, but no success. I *may* be out there in June on TDY...
Glad to see all is well with you and your students and it is also nice that you have dropped off the face of the earth. I miss your stories : ( Take care : )
If anything, it sounded like you and the boys had a good time together and thats all that matters. I know your boys adore you and it wouldnt matter if you took them to a flea circus- they would enjoy it no matter what. I gather you are on leave this week. I am taking leave for a couple of days at the end of the month and I so need to. You should email me sometime. Or call .....or heck I shoud call you at work. We both have DSN lines...we
As long as I have known you, you have never done anything wrong. You have been stellar at any task given to you, no matter what you think. You were awesome as an OR clerk, kick ass as an analyst and I am sure even more bad ass as an instructor/ JSCG NCOIC. You really give yourself too little credit. You truly are awesome.
It is *amazing* how many Military families (spouses for the most part) get their panties in a bunch due to deployment/war requirements. The refusals and objectors that come out of the woodwork when even the mention of deployment arises is a little embarassing. I have tried for 2 AND A HALF YEARS to get deployed and it pisses me off when I see someone trying to duck their duties. Even more amazing than Soldiers and their spouses these days is the Military parents (especially th
You kidding me? I (and some of my former students) will chase them down just to make them salute back! There's a whole building of AF 2LT, 1LT and CPTs right next door (in a classroom environment, so I get where you're coming from on that). I like to make them salute back, too, but its just disheartening to see that these people either have led a company or soon will. Also, its appalling to see how nasty they are. We are stuck cleaning latrines after them and its amazing how
When I was out on my visit to you guys last fall, we were spoken to about students at the NCO Academy not saluting officers. Not the exact same issue, but related... SGTs and SSGs would just walk away from LTs and CPTs (and Generals!) without rendering a salute. You know, I have lost *so* much respect for those ranks since being stationed here. When they are in a class environment, they behave worse than privates. I still salute them of
The retreat ceremony has always been a sore subject for me with new troops. One of my Drills back at GAFB always made a point of finding (and smoking) the soldiers who would run to get inside prior to the sounding of retreat. There used to be a poster in one of the GAFB chow halls with a poem wondering how many fallen soldiers would love to be able to stand outside and salute the flag but couldn't. The saluting of the flag is a huge
Hmmm.....very familiar video. Where did you get that : ) I have seen this picture numerous times and everytime it gets me. Anyone who lives in America and does not appreciate the sacrifices that are given on a daily basis by those in and out of uniform abroad should pack their bags and move elsewhere. If you find this democracy so hard to bear, I am sure that Hugo Chavez or the like would do more than change your mind.
I enlisted in the Army for "big bucks". When you are 16 or 17 and have been poor your whole life, a Private's salary is more than attractive. I continue to Soldier due to the love I have for my Country.
I am finally on! After reading the pages and pages of il-educated morons, my blood is boiling. There is one entry that asks if Blackwater is a terrorist organization. And then there were these little gems: 'Excellent! You go Allah!' and 'I love it when the bad guys are killed. I hope they burned for a while.....a proper entre' to the hell they are continuing to worship. ' Such very sad lives these Americans live.
