1. Yes, it's a mega-event. Meant to unbalance the galaxy. 2. Not that I know of. 3. You can turn off Mega-events to prevent this from happening, but it will turn off ALL mega-events. Minor events will still be active though. I had this in my last game, and it took me almost 3 game years to reclaim them all, plus the planets taken from the other AIs of course. The way the Spin Control Center works is, it makes any ship in orbit around the planet on which it built appear much stronger. If you put your ten strongest ships in orbit around that planet, your military rating can increase a lot. This can keep a strong, hostile AI off your back.

Just updated to the new beta and played a quick tech games and it posted fine. Still can't post the games started with 1.7 beta1 though. If it was an issue with the 1.7b1 metaversedata folder (IIRC it was), a patch can't retroactively fix games since the 'bad' data is included in the saves. Thanks for the update. No problem, I'll delete those save files.

Upgraded to the new beta2 last night. Still couldn't submit my 2 games that were started with beta1, however I played a quick tech victory started with beta2 and it submitted just fine.

Archiving will not change the version of the save game, so that won't help. The next update should fix the issue with submitting the games. So are you saying that I will never be able to post the 2 conquest maps I've completed with 1.7? If that the case I won't be playing any Metaverse games until it is fixed. On that note, is there an ETA for the next update?

I successfully posted a 1.7 game, but the Metaverse lists it as 1.61. However I did the upgrade after I started the map. Can you post the details, too (or better: do a screenshot andf cut it nicely). I am slightly been drinking Rye(Crown Royal) Ferrel,(like in cat?) Ferrel Mewler is a AD&D character I had in college and the name kinda stuck. It does mean "wildcat", but it sound cleverererer back then. Cheers
