I don't work for Stardock but I'll second your request for upgrading fleets. Usually I get 2 or 3 fleets with high experience points. Those are the only ones I want to upgrade and it does take quite a bit of time and clicking to upgrade those. Oh, and you can delete rally points. I believe you have to disband it. I know, sounds weird, but I've done it. I'm at work right now or I'd give you the exact procedure.

They only managed to launch 1 colony ship and never got anything else made. Thats 1 more colony ship than what you will ever see in DL! But surly, you need to let them build their ships so you can have some fun?? Yup, pretty boring, but I've played this mission 3 times on different difficulties and was just messing around. I could never have used this strategy in DL.

Played this one yesterday on Crippling, but I played it from DA not DL. DA has spies. I used them (I think it was 8) to completely shut down all the Industrial Sectors on the Dread Lord planet. They only managed to launch 1 colony ship and never got anything else made.

Dear MC God cannot exist How can we all be atheists The cease to be thread God gave us thought I get your point. You don't believe in God, but you're just like those folks who knock on my door, early in the morning, bible in hand, trying to convince me their convictions are the correct ones. I don't need you knocking on my door either. It's annoying. I know, I know, I don't have to read the thread, but you've started at least 4 threads all expounding the same rhetor

At the beginning of the game I only build 1 thing at a time. My top 5 planets are the only ones I concentrate on. All other newly colonized planets get 1 factory and 3 econ buildings, and let them sit there until they have a positive cash flow. Then I'll build whatever I can afford, and deem appropriate for the situation at hand. I never build a farm on a food bonus tile, or on my home world (it will grow to 16B on it's own), since I never let them grow over 13B (with 1 Advanced Farm of course).

This feature brings up a strategy that I use if I really need to. Let's say you have a constructor with a speed of 5. Let's also say you own several planets close to the launching planet and they are in the same general direction you need the constructor to go. Launch the constructor. Move it to the next planet and enter orbit. Now launch it from the other side of the planet. Since there is no movement points for entering and leaving orbit, you basically get 2 moves for free. Rinse and repeat if

I've been active. I finally got a suicidal research win in DL, upgraded my PC to 1 gig RAM, and have been playing DA ever since. That extra memory made all the difference in DA. Should have a Thalan conquest victory posted tonight.

but the main actors have gone over to stargate? Black and Browder are available now that Stargate has been canceled. From the little I've heard, it might be a "next gen" thing.

I know this isn't a Farscape thread but just a short word to let you know SciFi has ordered 10 Farscape webisodes. Maybe they are testing the waters for a sequel. Not many details yet.

I loved Firefly. Too bad it didn't last longer. Fox only aired about 6-7 episodes and aired them out of sequence. They played the 2nd epi first, and the pilot was the last aired. Don't ask, I have no idea why. Anyway, enjoy. It's excellent. BTW. The movie, Serenity, does a good job of wrapping up the loose ends and covers what would have been the story arc for the remainder of the season.

I don't jump on anyone for typos, spelling or grammar. It just doesn't matter, here. I usually can guess, most of the time, what is trying to be communicated. Besides, for some of us, English isn't our first language. However, I must caution those that take exception to someone correcting them. Take it as constructive criticism. I work in an IT department, and deal closely with the Human Resources department. I know for a fact, that for any given job position, hundreds of resumes are received fr

Mars and Venus are also undergoing global warming at a similar rate to ours. We aren't polluting there. Mars doesn't even have an atmosphere to pollute. Are you sure? I know there are dust storms on Mars. Can you have a dust storm without an atmosphere?

Yea!!!! I finally won a Suicidal the other night. OK, it was only a tech victory, but I managed it. It was a gigantic map with uncommon stars, common planets, abundant habitable. I only had 7 planets at the end of the colony rush. Was outclassed in everything, but stayed focused on a tech win from turn 1. Managed to get one of the big guns (Humans) as an ally, and used diplomacy to keep others off my back. No one attacked. If they did, I'd have been toast.

I'm not bored with DL yet because I have yet to beat it on Suicidal. So here's my thing. I'm honing my strategies, and I want a solid foundation. A set of static rules. This is the only way to test one strat against another. I will get around to DA, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'm just waiting until all the tweaks and balancing is over with. By that time I should have a conquest win on Suicidal. I'm getting close.

Does anyone still play Dread Lords? I do almost exclusively, even though I have a registered copy of DA. Anyway, my question is what do you like better? For me, I prefer DL. Why? Because it's a mature game. As in, all the tweaking and balancing has been done. From game to game I can count on the the same "rules of the road". For me, even though I may, at present, be missing out on some great gameplay, I won't be playing DA until all the tweaking and balancing has been completed. I commend the de

Absinthe. Anyone ever hear of this? Don't know if it's legal in the US, but it is in Canada. It's green and very bitter. Pour 1oz. in a glass. Put a sugar cube on a slotted spoon, over the glass. Drizzle 3-5 oz of water over the sugar cube to dissolve it into the Absinthe. A very highly intoxicating drink. Quite different than a normal alcohol buzz. If anyone has ever seen the cancelled HBO show, Carnivale, the character Lodz, is shown perparing and drinking it.

My take is this, it doesn't matter whether or not you believe global warming is happening, and it doesn't matter whether or not we are causing it. The initiatives, propelled by the theory of global warming, to lower emmissions and generally clean up the planet, is still a good thing. Aren't you tired of polluted air, water, and land? If Al Gore's movie scares us and the next generation into being more environmentally aware, I'm all for it. It's time to clean up the pig sty we've been living in.

Ask Tony Soprano if there is a heaven or hell. Apparently it's just 10 seconds of blackness... then the credits roll. Seriously though. To me, one of the cornerstones of religion, any religion, is death. It quells your fear of it, and uses that fear to promote behavior dictated by said religion. This is the real purpose of heaven and hell.
