Er, wasn't that in one of the screenies posted earlier this week already?

yes it was!
No, not quite. The earlier screenie shows: "Mission: Give Credits". That one shows: "Mission: Destroy ".

Now to pick apart the image... Right... there. Gives us a bit of a hint about the new diplomacy. If I were to venture a guess, that looks like you can set a bounty on specific targets/pay factions to attack certain planets. :D
Carrot, stick. YARRRR. Done and done.
Such a tease. :d
Added with a series of gamefaqs accounts I haven't touched in quite some time. ;p
Oh, no, I got that, it just sounded like you were already planning some campaign-ish sorta thing for an expansion/sequel. Think I was just reading too much into it. ;)
Yep, each serial is good for two copies in LAN games. Though you do need a unique key for every player on ICO.
Hunh. While it's not uncommon for this to be doable in games, actually having it outright okay-ed by the developers/publishers is another thing entirely. Kudos. I can almost guarantee I'll be able to get my brother (and cousin, after he sees a few games... though I think he's practically sold already) to buy it after a LAN game or five. ;D
I would like the ability to, under my control, choose to share control on certain units. I can't count the number of times I've "assisted" an allied player, and had to micro my ships to his commands while I was busy doing something else elsewhere.
Actually -- even "gifting" ship
If it was going to work we'd have to come up with some really creative and innovative ideas to get around these problems but we couldn't do this simultaneously to developing everything else new and innovative that Sins brings to gaming. Nonetheless, over the course of development we've got a pretty clear picture of where we want to go with it and it will be as fresh, innovative and creative as Sins 1 was. The
if thats what you think of the south circa 1860...
If said state rights (other than the right to own slaves, that is) were *so* important, why weren't they more properly protected in their governing document. One would think that'd top the list of "changes to make" if that's why they were seceding.
oh please, this is a classic example of them giving rights to the states, nothing more, nothing... why bother. its nothing more than states righ
wrong on all accounts Tsed, thats the classic misinformed point of view.
*eyeroll* You don't address the fact that the most significant change to the Confederacy's Constitution is the enshrinement of slave ownership as a right. Their defining document itself clearly indicates the south's motivation.
to claim it as THE "cause" of the civil war, instead of what it truly was (merely a catalyst) is wrong in just about every possible sense.
<br
I really cannot believe that so few people understand that the civil war had almost nothing to do with slavery... what idiots. There are the tin-hat lefties who think that there were other ways to abolish slavery AND to pacify the south, idiots. but then there are the duffus righties who only know what they learned in 3rd grade history.
Except... it had everything to do with slavery. Sure, states rights (what I'm assumin
Its way too late to add features that aren't already in the game, they can't possibly get it ready in time for release. Now, as a post-patch thing, maybe, but you already have issues with one sound "clipping" out another...
Actually, those-on-high have confirmed that this will be in: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=402&aid=162755#1307475
that depend's, u wont need support for ur music. nor wil stuff be improved or added to it.
Not the point. I don't object to paying for updates, if it's needed. I object to losing access to purchased software if I don't pay a fee. It has it's place -- it works well for things like Gametap. But in general? No way.
My personal favorite option is to just charge me a monthly fee paid annually or semiannually and give me full access to any products in the companies catalog.
Ugh, I don't want to rent my software anymore than I want to rent my music, thanks :(
Ahem. Multianna. Check the dates. ;)
:CONGRAT: This all looks great. In particular,
Issuing attack orders to units in a fleet or the fleet as a whole will smartly determine which units in the fleet should receive the order and which should ignore it. If for some reason you actually want to issue the order to all the units, you can override it.
Is going to be invaluable. Way to go, can't wait to get my grubby paws on this.
True, if the explosion occurs very close to the aircraft (historically speaking) then yes, it would cause significant damage, but the true purpose of flak was to fill the sky with razor sharp pieces of metal. In WWII, the Nazis fired massive amounts of flak at Allied bombers...
My understanding is that, well... it varied. "Flak" actually refers to a fairly broad category of guns (that is, anti-aircraft guns). HE and shrapnel rounds both had their places. <
They haven't been announced yet, but you just know there is more out there. Like the diplomacy system I mentioned
That reminds me. Finish that journal, or get us that patch, Blair! ;)

Pfft. USB. I'll keep my AT Omnikey 101, thankyouverymuch. When it comes to a duel, I assure you, I'll be glad I have that extra 6 lbs of keyboard.
Technically its a planetoid.
They prefer the term 'dwarf planet' thankyouverymuch.
On the G15 keyboard you can.
Or just use an appropriate OSD plugin.
I have been in about 4 or 5 betas and seen 2 or 3 others. Blizzard's beta tests always seem to be perfect
...huh? Have you even participated in a Bliz beta?. Hell... the WC3 beta was downright hilarious. You could crash everyone in a chatroom by just sending a message to it. D2 was a mess even at release, nevermind the Beta... :o
Absolutely. It's something I never really noticed lacking from GalCiv, but now that ToA is on the board, it's really clear -- the races didn't have much flavor to accompany them. ToA is just making the races *so much* more interesting. Lurve it. Thanks, SD :D
