Thanks, I think that on that Tiny I could have won if I had just researched Med. Hulls. Cuz then I could have put my best weapons onto it and dominated with naturally high HP ships. That's usually what I do. In this one however, I was pure Research and the Drengin had me out researched 2:1. That was just sad...not a lot of planets, and got whipped hard because of it. Im not going to be able to continue this one due to some major problems with my gameplay. The Torgal got eliminated early by an accidental war with the Drengin, Kroza, and Torren all at the same time. The Drengin just moved around too quickly, it was amazing... Good news, Than'Al was once again able to escape, and decided that they were going to look for a slightly smaller group of planets to land on, and will not be naming their new homeworld Krepo. I use Grab Clip Save, it is a good one to use, or Fraps, which will also allow you to take 30 second clips of what is going on in the game. If you do use Fraps for that, you are looking at huge AVI files which will need to be compressed by a program called VirtualDub (at least that is what i use). It has to do with the off-type defense bug i think. My ships aren't hurt at all during the first few turns against beam weapons since I am using PD. This i think also is rather odd, but it just subtracts your attack roll from their defense and when their defense hits zero the surplus attack from the roll and all successive rolls are applied against a 0 defense rating. Build slightly higher attack and/or defenses and you shouldn't have anymore problems. GalenEvil

I played conservatively until I could create extremely strong fleets. I ended up with fleets of Medium sized ships, each containing approximately 70-90 in Missile or Beam attack (can't remember which now) and strong defenses against whatever type the Dread Lords were using at the time. I created two Troop transports and then circled around the Korath ships until I could get to the world I was supposed to take over. Just giving you an update and clarification on some things. We are probably not actually winning the war, just taking out the small and weak Drengin fleets. They also have a fleet of High Fighters with 7 missile attack, (this is the point of my getting the Point Defenses) and rarely they have some ships with missile defenses. They also have several planets producing High Fighters with 9 Missile attack, so I am not sure how well I can survive. I need to retake those 2 planets that the

This would add a lot of complexity though to the game.
