No, not that you know of have you ever held back. But, to combat those Dread Lords is something spectacular. I did it in Dark Avatar campaign but only just barely. I built my ships to combat the Dread Lords, and so the Korath were a pushover. I really do hope that the Archins do not die. They are entertaining. Keep them alive by mass building tiny hull'd ships with a few attack each, something like +2 or +3 attack per weapon? That seems like it would do the trick. And then stick

more story please!!! I am editing some images right now and uploading them to photobucket... I should be able to post a new section semi-soon. I might hold off a bit to make sure that I am going to survive... GalenEvil

I almost never get to huge ships, but I made one last night during "Return of the Dreadlords" mission in the DA Campaign. Those Dreadnoughts would probably make my computer blow up, it has trouble with PubMaster's ships, approx 10 FPS when I am viewing them in the shipbuilder! I dont have a good computer though, need a non-laptop computer that I can play on I will be hopefully making so

Wait a sec! The Drengin will NOT "get a choke hold" on my Torgalians...they will be the ones being choked! I just got the newest beta for DA, so I should be seeing better framerates overall. No problemmos though, I only have problems w/ framerates when I am close to the ships I haven't been playing any more of my Torgalian campaign for fear that I would forget to write stuff down, so I

Well, I have a similar situation, but I like to play from the tactical view anyway so im sitting reliably at about 25-30 fps, when i zoom in to see the ships i get around 5-10 fps. I am playing through the DA campaign right now, and it is sitting on Large maps, i really hope that they dont get any larger in the campaign than Large, because after about 3 hours of playing I have to restart the game because of a CTD. Oh wells though, I propose that people stop complaining and just play fr

Maybe they are seeing increases in military strength, and your attempting to offer peace while building your strength. If you were in a position of weakening military strength you might have better luck with that. Just my thoughts on it, prolly wrong though. GalenEvil

Not yet are we going to see the beginning of a Torgalian Trade Federation. But instead we are going to see the Torgal become even better at their diplomacy by thinking about governments other then monarchy. Thinker reported to Than'Al that he should know how to make a governent work within the month. This is the state of the galaxy as of the first day of the ninth month. <img src="http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x143/Ga

I am gonna try to get some more planets, get them all set on research labs, and then gonna go after the Drengin. Though the Kroza are uber militant as well, so might have to take them out first... I am not playing a hard difficulty really, so they prolly wont be too hard to take care of... Once I get the military techs going, yer gonna see some fun fights. Sadly Fraps puts a white layer on top of the video that I play of battles, so unless I do some heavy editing I wont be able to ma

I was dreading the jagged knife though, that can be a real game killer late in the game. I have never seen that as a real problem. I just mass buy transports and conquer!

Following along with this, I am about to buy a new computer, and some things about Vista really interest me. What can I use other then nVidia that will actually work with this game? I think that ATI or something similar would work, but specifics I am not sure about.

Yes, continue s'il vous plait LostHero, so long as you actually manage to kill off the Dread Lords this time by NOT making yourself a target and making masses or small / tiny ships to kill them off with. Just work on logistics to make a killer tiny fleet ! woot!

In this one, thankfully the Yor are not here...the miniaturization bonus they get usually is what makes my games very very long. I don't want this one to be too long, especially since I am working in deficit of about 100 Big Croz per turn. I think I have about 20 turns before I have to start selling techs, so I had best get on good terms w/ the other races, at least for a little bit

********************* I told you this one was gonna be short... I will work on the next part of this tonight, hopefully it will be up by tomorrow night. ********************* "Watcher, base, report. Drengin citizens in near system. Going with caution." The Watcher's pilot was uneasy about the recent landing of a colony ship on a planet called Lentz V, which is much lower quality of soil, and smaller, then their own two planets. "Send citizens soon to near planets."<

haha, that's good to know, I dont like the idea of the Torgal getting sold (unless it is for an insane profit). I might be able to put the next part of this up tonight or tomorrow night, not sure which. I have to go out for about 8 hours today, so that is 8 hours less that I can play this wonderful game. I have it done, the next part, but it is really short and would like to make it longer. I think that I have played up through August by now, of the first year. I write a lot, and I think th

Yes, His Dark Materials is a great trilogy! You must read THHGTTG though, asap, cuz it is wonderfully long. 5 books to the trilogy ...I hope that they keep making the books into movies, t'would make me very happy. GalenEvil

****** I wrote this part last night, but due to unforeseen problems with the GalCiv2 Forum server(s), I was unable to post it or even access this page. Now, without further ado ****** On the twenty second day of the year, Than'Al recieved news from the recently landed population the discovered planet. It was good news, everyone survived the journey. So, what is the name of this new planet? Of course, it is called New Urlg. Nothing is more fitting for it
