I went with a Lancool by Lian Li midtower for my current build. The case itself weighs 20 pounds. Add all of the parts and the weight comes up to nearly 40 pounds. In my weakened condition, I could barely lift the completed system. Fortunately I have a computer cart with casters on it, and I got it from the table where I built it, to where it is now that way.

I have a similar situation that I am in the process of diagnosing. In my case, it simply won't power on. I am down to motherboard, processor, and/or Power Supply. I built the system myself and a friend brought over a PSU and a processor that I can use for diagnostic purposes. What happened is this: I had relegated it to the secondary desktop status up on the second floor. It had been functioning smoothly. I had it turned off and sitting for a while. When I went upstairs to use it,

I thought that I would drop in and say hello. A few may remember me, although most will not. The last time I posted, was when I was about to go into the hospital and then nursing home for cancer treatment. That was back in 2009. I was discharged from the nursing home August 28, 2010 and tried to post here and it wouldn't let me, even though I was logged in. I had chemo and radiation treatment, then I had to have cancer surgery, and ended up with a permanent colostomy. I ha

Thank you all. the end of the power port got sucked into my body, under the skin. As a result, I have to go back into the hospital to get it fixed. The end is a cube, and I never felt it go into my body. This sort of thing happens from time to time. Increased probablility of infection when this happens.

I got out of the hospital the following Monday, after my 'tune up'. The oncologist ordered a CT scan, and, it is in Stage I or II, meaning that it has not spread to the lymph nodes. Fortunately, I did not have to argue with the ER doctor. I snapped at the ER RN, and she snapped back, but, she could see that I was in pain and stressed out. I apologized to her explaining why. They were giving me 2 mg Morphine for a while, then we switched to Percocet, which was 2 x 5/325. I have home he

In Deep Impact, that reporter thought she was hot on the trail of the President's Mistress at first. Anyways, for that Y2K possibility, I bought 5 dozen Power Bars and a box of 80 caffeine tabs. Reasonable for a Just in Case. Didn't need them, but, the way my luck runs, if I had not, then I would have needed them.

I have a Sandisk Sansa View 32 MB Flash memory based. It is tied to Rhapsody software to get things to list properly in the player. Rechargable Litium Polymer Battery for about 70 hours of music. Newegg has them, which is where I got mine from. It takes MicroSD, MicroSDHC cards as well.

A friend is taking me to the ER in an hour or two, for treatment of edema in both lower legs, among other things. I can't put this off any longer. Hopefully I will be gone for at least a week, and maybe get the oncology part going faster.

I have been very reluctant to post this here. Monday the biopsy report came back and I have been diagnosed with Anal Cancer. I see the oncologist on August 12. There is one more diagnostic test to be done before treatment can begin: CT Scan. This is to determine what stage it is in. Stage IV is the worst (Metastatic), meaning it has spread to other parts of the body. I hope you folks never get this! Farrah Fawcett died after a multiyear battle with this.

I did not see anything in the CG software that is too taxing on your CPU, unless you have or will have 3D CG software, that renders single frames as well as animation sequences. in that case, quad core is better than dual core. In CG, rendering is handled by the CPU, not the graphics card.

When I built this computer, I originally wanted a dual, dualcore Opteron, but it was way too expensive. Then I looked at the Q6600, but that was too expensive ($535 at the time). I finally settled on this AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+, and I am totally happy with it.

I use cheap corded optical mice on my computers, and don't have a problem with any of them. I also use cheap corded keyboards (PS/2 connectors for both mice and keyboards).

When Atlantis came back to Earth, it was using the full complement of 3 ZPMs. How much power is left in them is anyones guess. Given that the premise for SGU has the check it out team stuck on the Destiny, I think we can make some guesses.

MAC has to do with networking, while Mac refers to the Macintosh. Every Ethernet Adapter has an MAC, which is the adapter's address aka identifier. Drive wise, I would build my own, after careful consideration of hdds and cases for them.

There is SD, MiniSD, MicroSD, and MicroSDHC. I do know the MicroSD is available in 8GB (single card) from Sandisk (sansa.com). My Sandisk Sansa e260 uses Micro SD. My Sansa e140 uses SD. My Vivitar 5MP camera uses SD.

Those old AD&D Goldbaox games run at 320 x 200 resolution, so you need a monitor that goes that low, or, you get a screen that is slpit in the middle vertically and 2 of the same. Been there. Done that.
