I wonder if he'll actually prove us wrong by developing a program that just annihilates WindowBlinds. I hope he's not simply one of those people who like to talk big, but have no use whatsoever.

Besides having "Set desktop icon text foreground color" checked, you might need to check "Make desktop icon background transparent" and also "Enable advanced desktop features" for it to work.

Skinstudio and WindowBlinds are now bundled together though. Therefore, those who purchase WindowBlinds will receive Skinstudio as well. It's still not free, but it does come with the program for which it is made.

I think it would be rather hard to decide the standards, considering that the OSes work in very different quite often. For example, IIRC, UNIX is better at applications that use many processes while Windows is better at multi-threaded applications. Besides that, I think that there would be a huge need for more support. Think about all the problems people already have with programs that just run on Windows.
