heh - this thread makes me feel dull, as i probably never would have come up with 1/10 of the 'tricks' that are found here. good stuff for sure - can't wait to finish up my current game and implement some of these when starting from scratch next time around! [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
Hmm, I like both ideas... not sure about the ease of implementation though. side note - Just started playing this game again after a year or so hiatus.. hadn't really perused the forums much prior to this, but am learning so much more about the game and can't wait to get full blown back into it... the recent hiatus was a result of my first mmo addiction (Lotro).
One other thing that could've happened is that the council passed the resolution restricting how many trade routes evil races can have, and you might be evil. I haven't had this happen in DA yet, but in a DL game just before DA released I got bit by this resolution even though I hadn't had to pick an alignment yet. The game apparently considered me evil since my ethical choices had been tilted in that direction, and I ended up getting shafted for

okay okay... first time poster. i've only had the game a week or so (bought it with DA), so i'm still learning the ol' ins and outs. to the point - i'm strollin' along quite well in the current game, then i noticed my funds plummetting, and it turns out all of my trade routes (expect one with minor race) are gone... freighters and everything. i didn't attack anyone, no one is at war with me, but now no major race other than 1 (only 5 total) will accept any of my freighters. so,
