Love it devjit! :CONGRAT:
try some walls from vista. for example two from devjit and 3 from vista for more vistalisation.....
I have posted a dream before that used a vista wall and it was denied because I was told it wasn't allowed.
I cant download this dreams(((cant you make dream where one wall cracked and from this crack appear next wall...
The shatter dream has pieces break off and fall behind the current wall to reveal the next wall. Congratulations! :CONGRAT: DEVJIT :CONGRAT:
OK, this is a preview of the two dreams that I will make for Broken Aero [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/Broken%20Aero%20Red%20Blue%20Rays.swf"]Broken Aero Crack[/link] [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/Broken%20Aero%20Shatter.swf"]Broken Aero Shatter[/link]

Instead of using multiple PCs, I decided to get my self an Intel extreme quad core PC and overclock it to 4ghz. I then use a program called "Process Lasso" to set applications to only use specific processors (CPU Affinity) if I need to free a CPU up from rendering. Multiple monitors are a must, I don't think I can live with just one anymore.
Trying out a blue flame effect on the cracks
Since the flash is lowres, this is clear shot of what the rendered cracks in the dream will look like.
devjit, check your PM. I like the bright streaks in the first set. They added some definition. This latest sets colors look better for the shatter effect because of contrast in colors, but with the dark edges, it's hard to see the effect on the sides of the screen.
MB shatter does it for me..if the cracks dont vanish and keep on spreading until they break into pieces for the new wall..might be cool.
Do you mind if I flip one of the walls in shatter? It looks better seeing the next wall if the texture and lighting doesn't match up. Also, I will be rendering at 1792x1120 so walls of that size would be great if you can make them.
MB if i want to change to another concept of a wall ..will it take too much to change that on the dream you are creating ? pls ans quick
I made it easy to change them so change it all you want! Should I make both types of dream (Shatter and Crack) for the skin? Or should I settle on just one?
These are amazing! Very nice work.
mkorashy...mkorashy...mkorashy...mkorashy!
And the alternate for the shatter is the cracks: [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/Broken%20Aero%20Cracks.swf"]Cracks (Flash)[/link]
OK, this is the last render using the shatter effect. I tried to lower the movement by having the pieces fall behind the wall. [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken Aero/Broken Aero-FallBack.swf"]Fall Behind (Flash)[/link] Next, I will make just a cracking effect without shattering.
here is new preview from vista
Loving it! How about making the separators cracks?
Does AMD/ATI see an eventual convergence of CPU and GPU into a single chip much like the CPU and FPU have merged? Or, does AMD/ATI see dedicated chips as the way computers will grow in complexity?
Rendered this overnight [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/SkinDex%20Broken%20Aero.swf"]1min 12sec looping dream Flash (2.8mb)[/link]
New look for the dream. This is 10 seconds, if I stretch it to 30 seconds, the effect will be 3 time slower. [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/SkinDex%20Breakup.swf"]SkinDex (Flash 500kb)[/link] sAARGe, for the boot skin, instead of the squares, how about something like a glowing sphere like devjit used? Or, can you do a growing crack?
i have some idea about it, in original vista boot, all screen is absolutely black, lets make something like this (but with yours progress bar)but with crack from top. and shine from this crack.
Not 100% sure how the boot skins work, but can the source of the shine move along a long crack as the progress changes?
A LONG time ago i wanted to make a DX program that would allow you to drag a "hammer" around on your screen and "BREAK" it (ie: put a broken transparent image centered where you Hit) But since i suck at graphics this wasnt something i could do. Just an idea.
Way back when I used Windows 3.1, there was a program that did this, so I searched and came across this: [link="http://www.download.com/Stress-Relief/3000-7564_4-10420955.html"]Stress Relief 2.0[/link]
he was trying to give a idea for progress bar
ahh I see, well I like it. it's very clean.
boot skin looks great devjit :CONGRAT: One question, does a boot skin need to be mostly blank?
Here is my first attempt at a wall breaking apart. [link="http://home.comcast.net/~van.etten/Broken%20Aero/Crack Then Break.swf"]Breaking Wall (Flash 1.5MB)[/link] This is the first render. I'll spend some more time perfecting the effect. I'll use the walls created by DEVJIT and I'll have them break apart reveling the next wall behind it.
