total newb help plz in New Users WinCustomize Forums

hey all total newb to this so please bare with me, ive searched through the forum but cant find the answer to my question. ive downloaded a trial version of windows blinds to see what its like, i then come onto this site and downloaded vista desktop. when i go into my settings i cant find the theme ive downloaded, its on my desktop as a unknown file anybody know how to make the theme work? cheers
