I uninstalled and reinstalled h and all is well now. BTW, I had the same problem as HuronJoe re asking me if I wanted to create a new account. After the reinstall of WB 3.31h, that doesn't come up anymore either. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Power

It seems to be a fairly basic concept. If you didn't do it, you can't post it without permission and credit given. I really like TasT's Slim OB but I'm partial to vertical bars. I modified Slim to my best use as a vertical bar and asked permission to post - nope, Teryl is working on a vertical version himself. He was very polite and supportive, I have no problem with his refusal. My point - Slim is his and he has the rights to that bar and style. <A HREF="https://www.wincus

Well, I have the registered version (& most of the other ODNT stuff) and I'm running XP pro. I currently have Radiant as my WB for example, I should be able to get the Radiant skin on my vertical OB but no joy. Perhaps I'm missing something in the config but I've tried everything I can see. Under theme options, I selected "Convert current windowblinds skin for use by bars in this theme" and I do get a dialogue showing the theme being converted. Radiant isn't listed in the "Use

Just this morning, I find I can't get skins & themes through SB. All other buttons are working fine (My Account, News & Discussion) but when I click S&T, the right panel opens very briefly, then SB shuts down. I can access stuff through Wincustomize fine however. I installed 3.31g this morning but otherwise no changes in my system. Any one else? Solutions? Thanks <img src="http://images.stardock.co

MikeB314: In the Theme Browser, choose "Windows XP (WindowsXP Beige v0.95)". Yours may say something different in the parenthesis. Then in the Style dropdown at the bottom of the Theme Browser, choose "*Use WindowBlinds Skin*". So the vertical OB I created can't use the current windowblind skin? If that's the case, it would explain why I'm having so much difficulty with this. <img src="http://images.stardock.

I remember working with Fortran 4, Cobol and time sharing on PDP1 computers. We did punchcard programing as well. I remember running the program through once to check for syntax errors - the operators really hated that. Finding logic errors bit big time (still does I imagine). My first personal computer was a Tandy POS. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=913"

I didn't care for Convergence as I found it made life more complicated than changing stuff on a per-app basis (change icon package, change WB etc). Winstyles is much easier. One thing that would make it perfect would be a preview screen in the build section. I want to create a new theme for myself (I'm still not sure about suites and uploading a suite of other peoples' work). I pick the WB skin, the Icon Package, the Cursor X etc. from the list on the left. I have a ridiculously larg

Now I got a whole bunch of new stuff to read - just in time for camping season. Sun, a good book and a beer or 2, or maybe more <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrowse

The crap thread has evolved into a thread about books so I got to thinking about what y'all like to read. For myself, I read a fair bit of SF. Currently I'm re-reading a bunch of Heinlein - certainly the master. Terry Prachett's stuff is great and sometimes I read Piers Anthony although I like his older stuff better. Len Deighton (I think I read all his stuff) and MacDonald's Travis Magee books (started on that re a reference from Calahan's (sp) saloon). Ludlum is good as wel

jcg didn't get his crap - come with me, I get all the crap I can use. I expect I can share some if you like. This group has the most interesting response to trolls I can imagine. Love it.

Here's a shock - I agree completely with Davad. There are some skins I really like and others that don't speak to me. Those are purely subjective decisions based on personal preference. I'm not competent to judge any skin based on anything other than that which I like. (I don't no nuthin' about art but I know what I like). I won't be rating skins when the option is available - except by downloading those I want to use. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?C

I use so many. I really like Davad's Seti green and I've been using his mud theme for WD for a while. It reminds me a lot of MetalX which is a favorite WB skin. UniverseMetal by Pixtudio is great as is Lunar Base. Ambient by Adni is really cool as well. Some stuff by some skinners is wonderful, other things by the same author doesn't interest me as much. That's what's so great about skinning isn't it.
