Speaking of odd Canadian names, how about Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw and Red Deer?
abolutely nothing artistic about my site but it's full if stuff my students find usefull http://members.shaw.ca/gwall
The question has been answered for months now - here and in the newsgroups. At present, WB doesn't do the explore panel (the left panel) as MS has a different way of setting that up but Stardock is working on a way to do it.
GR probably answers more questions than pretty much everyone else put together. You're a great guy to have around!
can't be done yet but SD is working on it.
OTH, an XP box with a Win98 skin would give you the look you've been missing without the constant crashing!
Your question should probably appear in a faq if one gets developed.
You have to create a new account.
Well T-Man, there is a good point about forced comments, particularly poor ratings. If someone doesn't like a wall or skin and wants to rate it poorly, surely it's reasonable for the author to have some idea why. OTH, forced comments doesn't stop someone from rating a skin as 1 and commenting "it sucks", does it? Aside - I cannot figure out how y'all get the coloured print. Is there an icon for p
Old news - Display properties is purposefully set not to skin as a protection against bad skins. There is a workaround described in the newsgroups several (like 1000 times). Apparently Stardock is going to make skinning DP an option in the future but I don't think it's much of a problem myself. <img src="http://images.s
I think we hit a run of Xp styles which is fading (hopefully). First the walls, then XP compatible WB (good) and XP styled OB. The walls got boring fast. The XP imitating OB are only a bit better than standard XP - imitations. But I think people are starting to look beyond the XP look to what XP will allow. Personally, I see OB as the harbinger but that may be just because I don't use Desktop XP. <img src
Love that.
Hi-Dee-Ho neighbour. Welcome.\
I'm posting from home so I'm working from memory. I run a Verity laptop, 333 Mhz. I've run Win 98SE, NT and now XP Pro on the machine without any real problems. It might be a tad slow from time to time but not more than you might expect for such a feeble-ass computer (can you tell I'm looking for an upgrade). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBro
middle finger. Driving a lot lately?
Now I see you have started 2 threads looking for the same answer, moments apart. Patience grasshopper, patience.
Well, let's give it a go then. First, I assume you have WindowBlinds running on your machine. If not, you can't install it, anymore than you could read a Word document without having word on your machine. Ok, go to wherever the file is downloaded. You should be able to install it simply by double clicking the file. Or open Display Properties and go to the appearance tab. The file you want should be listed there. Click and apply. Good luck <A HREF="https://www.wincu
My first task of the day is to scan the spam & delete. Only then do I actually begin to read stuff. The worst of it goes to my work account! The postmaster can only suggest we request to be taken off the list. AFAIK, that only confirms a working address. I agree with the frog, somethings got to be done but . . . <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT=
The skinbrowser icon should be showing automatically when you post from SB. It doesn't show when posting from WC
ODNT is great - the only problem is I no longer have a life. I check SB about 96 time a day. /Time to check for new Winstyles.
Maybe it is haunted!
There was a suggestion on the newsgroup (sorry, I don't remember who made it) that a clean reinstall of SB should fix the problem. So far, it's worked for me.
Go get 'em!
