edix, i know you arent being rude...and i thank you for trying to help. yes that is in fact the location im trying to look in. the problem is that i dont have any folders or files inside the temp folder. its completely empty.

ok well i tried both the drivers suggested by zjbdragon and the new nvidia 174.74. no change whatsoever. i still get the minidump as soon as i try to launch the game. i have also uninstalled and reinstalled sins several times. and still i have no minidump file even though it keeps telling me it saved one.
