Like I said before, we have to give it a chance before we make any prejudges. The atmosphere and world look for me like Fallout, I just don't know if the game itself will do it too. To bad that we don't get any kind of demo of this game. I'm sure it would help some people with the decision of buying it.

In Follout 1 I prefered to use meele-combat (weapon less or a Hammer) and Pistols. Pistols in short range were just funny. Huh, you want to run away, not with me - bang - Oh, my leg . I hope in Falout 3 the Henchmen will stop shooting my back or standing in my line of fire. They died too often in Fallout 2 just too stupid actions (charge with low life into a mutant army, while I told them to run away or entered my line of fire, while they had more than enough sp
Well, I know Fraps and WeGame .
How about NGGP (Next Gerenation Gaming Pattform) *hahaha* Well, I don't know what I should think about it, some of these new features sound like somehting that BattleNet, Gamespy (yes, even if it sucks) or RelicOnline already have.
Well I could always move and shot in Fallout, but I always hat at least 9 AP and never less. I love agil hero, slow moving hitters are just too slow for. Move and shot was the only ways for me to survive Death Claw Caves. About the Power Fist Video: - I know you won't aggree, but I think it was a bit of too much violence. Of cause much of it was cause by Bloody Mess .
Yes, I know we still have a kind of turn-base. I think they call it V.A.T.S. Well, we will see how the combat system works in the final game.
I don't really know what MS is planing to do with it? - Is it supposed to be something like Impulse or STEAM? - Or should it be something better a mix of these above combined with the usability of the BattleNet? - I think I have missed something in the last weeks/months. Relic said that they will use GoW - Live for Dawn of War II for free as a support for the multiplayer-mode, while all other games want money for it. All I know is that I haven't understand anything of t
I wish this modability for Fallout 3, too. If they give us this we will defenitly see mods that will enhanche the game or even bring back the turn-base fight (even if I think that won't be good and I don't want to know who they fix the moving-problem in it). Back to FO3: - I thought they said that it wouldn't have level scaling system or did I get it wrong? - Why do we see only pictures with male charakters, isn't FO supposed to have both sex avaible for
Well, I wasn't able to play it (HL2) offline , but I think I did something wrong. The problem with steam was that I had to start it in order to play the game and it was resource-devouring for me at this time. Even more annoying was the thing that is patched all games without even asking me (I couldn't find any option to disable this) and devoured my inetrnet-connection (I had only ISDN at that time). I think even iTunes has a better DRM than SecuRom. Yes, you need an internet-connecti
Over 1K one-star reviews, that really bad. I guess they can be lucky that you can't give zero-star or negative-star reviews. *dreammodeon* Well, maybe they begin to think about the way they are following right now and will change it. *dreammodeoff* Seriously, I have nothing against activations, but I have something against forced online-connection and limited activations. it was already bad on steam and it will be bad on anything else. Back to the CPs</p
They also do this to us, because they believe it would prefent the priates from cracking it. Who cares about the thoughts of a paying customers? - They have payed the money they wanted so they don't need to care about them anymore. I have read something about a more user-friendly SecuROM in Sacred 2. It still uses forced online-connection for the installation and some kind of limited installations. These limits can be compared with the DRM of iTunes. You have 2 limits,
I would give the game a chance before you crush it down without even playing it only by watching videos or looking at screenshots. Yes, it look a bit different compare with the first two games. It is different. Who knows maybe we get a very good be-in-the-world-feeling or maybe we don't. The only problem would have is trusting opinions of game magazines or sites. They hype games too often, so they only way to get a good opinion about Fallout 3 is by yourself ...
Click on the external link, you can find above and read what EA wrote.
I think I'll one of these customers: "I would like to buy it, because I love the game, but with with kind of DRM/Copyprotection I simply won't do it." The bad thing is that is hurts a bit. I always love these ugly videos and bad story, because they were just good for laughing. Command & Conquer was also a good game for just gaming and not thinking. Well, the good side is that I'll think about buying Sins of a Solar Empire . It has an online activision, but I
Hello, on of the bigger Ea guys just told us yesterday that the upcoming EA games (in this case Red Alert 3) will come with SecuROM. The difference is that it will be a bit more userfreindly: You can install it up to five times (he wrote 5 computers, but I think it means five times) Fore more installtions you will have to contact the customer-support and they will deal with it case-by-case One-tine internet activation No more contr
Fallout III look interessting and I'll play it when it is released. The only thing that was a bit annoying for me was these "Oblivion" look. These shinny, reflecting surfaces like you had in caves and dungeons in Oblivion. I just hope it was me and the daylight and not the game. What was very positive for me were the PipBoy (with all his functions) and the world itself. I can't wait to see it myself.
You're free to contact sales for a refund. Since the beginning we've always shipped expansion packs directly without a box. Dark Avatar, Altarian Prophecy, and Twilight. Let me put it this way: We have never shipped a box with an expansion pack ever in 15+ years.
Let's keep it simple. There was a misunderstanding and you apologise for it. I have also expected a box, but not because you could see one on the picture, no because I never had a game wi
1) Please look at the costs of the Arnorian Ships in the campaign, it's very hard to get credits when you have some of these ships and even harder if you don't use any kind of economy bonus (race abilities) 2) Do something with the espionage system. I can pump in as much credits as I want the enemy will come to a point where he gets his spy faster and eliminates mine. This is only with one, but you don't have one enemies, most times 3) Fix the space miners. They prefer to trave
Well, CPs give you the feeling of being a pirate, specially when you aren't one. The next point is that CPs are a good reason to piss of your customers and this is just a unwritten goal of many companies. ... ;) Pirates don't have problems with CPs, they are cracked or hacked away. Okay, this may cause problems sometimes, but not always. Back to the CPs: - I bought Half-Life II some years ago after it hit the budget prize. I never finished the game, due to these really anno
let me quote from SourceMass Effect uses SecuROM and requires an online activation for the first time that you play it. Each copy of Mass Effect comes with a CD Key which is used for this activation and for registration here at the BioWare Community. Mass Effect does not require the DVD to be in the drive in order to play, it is only for installation. After the first activation, SecuROM requires that it re-check with the server within ten days (in case the CD Key ha
As others have pointed out, for some reason, on Vista, if GalCiv isn't run in the admin mode that happens. We're not sure why and it doesn't happen to most people. We're looking into it. Vista remains...a problematic gaming platform.
Okay, now I have a strange thing. My Vista problems only appear in the campaign. The normal mode runs smooth as far as I have played it. Okay, Torians appear to be a bit aggressive, but I think it is just funny. Oh, an humans are even m
"Custom Candidate?" Uh...too much time with Political Machine (http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/the-political-machine-2008/848621p1.html) Candidate == Civilization [...]
I think you mean Candidate = Civilization, otherwise it would just give false ... *duck* .... :P I hope it was mentioned before (sorry, if I spoil something, I hope I don't) In the campaign mission Conflagration you start with 10.000 DC and 5 addition ships (plus the usual one)
[...] There's two particularly annoying issues that have cropped up. The first one is that on some Vista systems, some "string now found" issues come up. No idea yet. The work around is to run the game as administrator but we have no idea why that fixes it as none of us do that.
Well, as far as I know I'm playing with the Admin-Account. I actually don't have an other account. (Yes, I know that is stupid, unfortunately I have problems or better would have them with a norma
You have to activate the product first. Open Stardock Central and click on "Tool" and here on "Register Product". You should have an E-Mail with the Serial, it is send short after you have persuaded it. Enter the Serial now and restart SC. Now you should be able to see the game for download in the games menu, have fun.
I noticed that the recommended Ram is 1 gig. Would 768 be good enough?
Yes, that should be enough. My old PC (2600+, 512 MB RAM) had no problems with the Beta, so I guess it should work. It should run even better according to the less use of resources for ships. What did they say? - The ships need only 10 - 20 % of the former memory usage? Of cause you should have more than 512 MB RAM if you don't want to wait 2 - 3 minutes when you load a savegame.
