you don't have to enable it. You can join games that don't use it just fine. I was just suggesting if you are going to practice using sp then the mod will help you a lot in preparing for mp.

Did you tell everyone to disable the non-ui mods like uberfix etc. In my experience it has crashed from these if anyone has them enabled - not just the host.
