From memory it is worth 1 point in DC (I think I used to get it at level 13 or something late like that) for the speed debuff. Certainly you should be getting acclimation in most circumstances and inner beast should be leveled even if you don't take the final point. There are other reasons for only 1 level in grasp that you can likely find on these forums (hint) :) But in reality it is all about the interrupt not the damage for grasp.

yep go with Zen's guide. To make it easy max spit and ooze first at level 2, 4 etc. Stay away from Bestial wrath imo and only take 1 level of grasp at 5, no more. There are variations as the guide will explain but the "standard build" is much noob friendlier.
