I think you missed the point somewhere. The problem is IP cannot change the default CD/DVD icon - there are other programs which will. Of course the icon changes when you put a DVD in, its supposed to! As I said before, I don't have any difficulty changing the default drive icon, despite people saying it can't be done. All you need is the right program to do it - IP isn't it! Someday the boffins at Stardock will figure out how to get IP to do it. Until then I will continue to use my alt
