I use the same generic naming convention for every game I play to keep myself from getting confused. Tiny with no support or engines = Interceptor. Tiny + engines & support = Fighter. Small = Frigate. Medium with sensors, engines, and support = Lt. Cruiser. Medium without all that but packed with guns & defenses = Hv. Cruiser. Large = Battleship. Huge = Titan. I don't name individual ships unless they've been around for awhile or are Large or Huge. Then when they get blowed up I gather

As a matter of fact, I *almost* ended up pursuing an engineering degree myself, but I was far too "artistic" to be methodical enough for the task. I took many courses in technical drawing and CADD but was always pushing the fantasy element (my CADD portfolio is almost exclusively Robotech schematics) and I'm obnoxiously immune to appeals for real-world scenarios. Either way, GC's shipbuilder is quite the funhouse, eh? <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Poste
You know, I've played a few dozen games through now, and have yet to see enemy spies except for the mega event. Maybe I need to set the AI a little higher? Anyway, the espionage engine in DA is really nifty, if slightly confusing at first. I only wish you could specify between intel gathering and sabotage missions -- but that's just greedy, right? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd/SDC24.g
Dad started buying me Lego sets when I was 6. Been collecting ever since. I'm so anal about them that I still have the "castle" sets stored separeately from "the rest". Douchebag father-in-law sold off 3/4 of them when they were stored in his house while we were moving; you can't get those old Expert Builder parts in those quantities anymore, so I'm still pissed about that. Have been buying the new Racers sets because my 4-year-old LOVES cars and I build him all kinds of cars and trucks with
Okay, 24 days and no replies from Frogboy, Kyro, etc. So I'll pitch in, even if I have no affiliation with Stardock and/or related development/support staff. I'm Al, I'm new to SDC, I play GC2 for fun and aggravation, I'm an avid sandbox gamer, and I used to work in the computer/console game industry. Used to, as in like 10 years ago now. I wish I still did, but crap happens. I worked as an "associate producer" (read: gofor) for several products for SNES, Genesis, handhelds, and PC. I stil
Okay, I dunno much about "threads" and commenting in this format in general, but I gotta make my case... I'm a MOO fanatic who tried MOO3 and lost my mind trying to figger out what the hell those bastages did to my favorite franchise. Then a pal told me about GCII, showed it to me, sung its praises, etc. Well, I think GCII (I bought the DL+DA Gold box right off the shelf, and therefore had NONE of his registration problems ) is the SH*T, no holds barred. I love it even for the fact t
