re: my statement about Beast's creeping abilities Post-Mortem just barely makes him able to keep up. its an inaccurate statement to say he has any advantages in creeping relative to other DG's. he has a simple tool that allows him to be just barely good enough. he still falls short of the mark set by real champion creep farmers like TB, QoT, Rook, or Oak. re: Regulus Darvin, what you've described is basically the

disclaimer: i haven't complained about there handling of the situation at all. in fact i've praised their open communication style. I'm also a frequent Stardock customer. I own Galactic Civ 1 and 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire, and now Demigod. Demigod is the first game I've seen Stardock publish with a multiplayer component as large and complex as this. even if you had bought games from Stardock before you wouldn't have experienced these kinds of problems simply because

i think the real point of distinction becomes what to do in mid to late game. everybody should be pitching in to the citadel until ALL of the following upgrades are purchased: building health 1, building damage 1, gold income 1, experience 1, creep damage 1, creep armor 1. once those are bought then you get to worry about who saves up for artifacts vs. who saves up for catapults. each Demigod has a different method of farming and pushi

potions have a channelling time, can be interrupted, and you cannot attack or move while channeling a potion. they do however recover MORE health and mana than the full 10 seconds from HoL. the reason why Shield and HoL seems abusive is because you get to keep fighting (in invulnerable God Mode) while you're recovering a gigantic amount of health+mana. what alot of people don't realize is that even though you can't damage or debuff a S

453 DPS to a target with 0 armor that stands still while all 16 of your minions are in range. how much DPS is it to an average Demigod? just making some reasonable assumptions this is what I get: the demigod has an armor mitigation of 35% (easily achievable from just a Nimoth Chest Guard). the demigod has a move speed of 6.6 (easily achievable from just a Boots of Speed) and thus can remain out of range of a certain number of minions

i really like this idea and your design is quite good. the biggest concern is going to be visual presentation though. it might get really hard to see where you are if you're under a bridge.

there are two approaches to playing Oak. in the Assassin approach your most important skills are Penitence, Shield, Surge of Faith, and Divine Justice. you take no points in Raise Dead or Soul Power and probably only get priest Idol Minions if any at all. For this build it is unthinkable to do anything except max out Penitence as soon as possible. its your single best skill and really drives the build. you're going to take gear that is primarily tanking and damage orien

those stats do not indicate that one player was better than the other. Rook will nearly always have more buildings and grunts killed then beast since he has abilities that are suited for those tasks. Beast will nearly always have more flag caps than Rook since he runs alot faster. re: what to do about a 3 Demigod rush in one lane you are correct, your team-mate was wrong. in general the thing to do is take the oth

its not cheating. its a valid tactic. its not even cheesy. buy->summon->sell is essentially like taking the minions as a consumable item rather than a permanent piece of equipment. if they get killed you won't be able to get them again until you go back to the shop and buy the idol again. you also won't get your money back. its no different than a health potion.

when you can comfortably win a Hard Mode Single Player Tournament every time you play then you'll do pretty well at multiplayer. the two things aren't comparable really so you'll still have a learning curve figuring out how other humans play, but if you can beat Tournament on Hard you'll know enough about the capabilities of your Demigod and your limitations. and you'll have good experience with all the maps.

the ones that wipe the floor with you are the ones that know how to Shield and how to Penitence. if your timing is good you can Penitence the first Spit and Shield the second. alternatively (though these aren't mutually exclusive) its just a Tank type gear build. Tank gear builds are a natural advantage over DPS oriented Demigods like Regulus and Beast.

Frogboy, I think its ridiculous of you to expect a player to be satisfied with a 2 human vs. 1 human + 1 AI matchup. its not fun for any of the 3 humans involved. the team of 2 will easily farm money and exp from the AI and gain an insurmountable lead. for the team of 2 this isn't much more fun than a comp stomp. for the poor bastard who got stuck with a Bot for a partner it feels like being used as a human golf-tee. quiting at the outs

buncha comedians here. i'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that he's not a native speaker of English. with a name like Sorgenmacher i'm guessing German. be kind to our Euro friends. i bet his English is way better than your German.

its already been said but it needs to be emphasized more. the main point to take away from this is that Vlemish is by far the best FIRST mana item. the real choices come when you're looking for your SECOND mana item. this is where you get into decision territory like Plenor Battlecrown vs. Unbreakable Boots vs. save for HoL vs. just buy potions, or whatever. i also think Theurgists cap has a very different purpose and role then you imagine i

what the heck kind of question is "how long you been playing?" the game is a month old. i've been playing since release. you want to have a pecker contest so you can whip out your "beta tester" package and say yours is bigger than mine? go ahead, your obviously more interested in one upmanship and winning the internet than having a reasonable debate.

oh, so now he needs backup from another DG, eh? so we can talk about how much a pain in the ass it is when a Sedna and a Torchbearer go in and decide to camp your portal flag. or we can talk about how Oak and Unclean Beast will assassinate infinite demigods in -14 seconds. come on man.

it takes 80 seconds to set up 8 towers. i think thats plenty of time to put together a response. i'm pretty sure that if you leave ANY demigod alone for 80 seconds they'll screw you pretty bad. if there's one change to the Rook Towers that i might get behind it would be an adjustment to their life cycle and health pools. i'd like to see them naturally live longer (2 minutes instead of 90 seconds) but would automatically lose health if

re: Citadel Upgrades - there's already a favor reward for buying the most upgrades - you already get buffs for buying them, thats what you're buying in fact. more exp, more gold, better reinforcements, better towers, etc. - if a player doesn't understand that team-wide upgrades are usually bigger benefit to their chances of winning then being a ball hog and saving up for artifacts then its the player that needs to improve, the game system doesn't need revisi

the OP is right about end-game dominance though. some DG's have better endgames then others, period. full stop. Regulus, Beast, and Oak are the strongest DG's at level 20. QoT peaks around level 12. she can certainly be quite strong in the endgame as well, but in relative power level terms she is strongest at level 12ish not level 18-20.
