the shield's timer does not make it weaker with time. i suspect that 6 mines WILL defuse it but she just wasn't getting hit by more than 1 or 2 of the mines. the only thing shield does is give the target some quantity of bonus hitpoints that will get depleted first, before their regular health pool goes down. skill details here: http://demigod.wikia.com/wiki/Bramble_Shield rank

its incredibly useful but requires timing and situational awareness. its uses are too many to go into in just one post but here are the first few that come to mind: 1) Silence enemies before casting a Heal on yourself to make sure your heal doesn't get interrupted. 2) Interrupt charge up times of teleport scrolls or healing potions to keep a weak enemy in combat and get the kill. 3) Use Silence at the beginning of a group vs. group brawl to create

@Milskidasith first of all, calling me a Scrub is not classy. i thought you made some good points in your first post so I wanted to clarify my position. i didn't expect to be insulted for doing so. you got up on the wrong side of bed today or something? what we are on agreement with is that this game needs a proper Resign or Concede option very badly. please try to understand the reason i said what i did. staying til the end of the game ensures that the stat tra

100 heroes in DotA is terrible. its not good game design. its just a fetish for new heroes that drives it, it adds nothing to the play experience. the simple fact is that only a handful of those heroes are good enough to play competitively anyway. i far prefer demigod's take which is to have fewer heroes but greater depth for each hero.

you know i always find that there are 2 types of responses that people have when they lose, and i think it says alot about a person's personality type which response they give. 1) "this is rigged, I demand the game to be changed so it is easier for me to win." or 2) "hmm, wonder what happened? i should go figure out why I lost and what I should do differently next time."

Milskidasith, you stayed in the losing game because you're classy and that's how its done. you see things through to the end because thats the classy thing to do. its not about the favor points, its just a way of life. and when you stick it out, you don't delay the end of the game by taking a stand at the choke

this is a shout out to all the class acts who play DG. i played with a few of you tonight and had fun even when i was losing to you. you were a good loser even when I beat you. you know who are you. You're a Classy Guy. You've got style and grace. You're a good opponent and a good team-mate and a fun guy. Here's why: edit: the revised, abbridged, slimmed down and simplified list. 1) you don'

perhaps a better criticism is that you were playing Conquest on a map that is a poor choice for that game mode. Crucible and Exile are both best played as Dominate maps. the best conquest maps are the ones with multiple ways into a base and a healthy separation between the Citadel and Health Crystal. Cataract, Leviathan, Mandala, Zikurat and Brothers are all good for this. Prison seems intended as an arena

standing in the middle of a creep wave while having a constant health drain is NOT too minute a difference to be of any significance. the risk factor alone is a gigantic handicap. the general narrowness of Ooze is yet another. the more effective builds of Beast don't use Ooze at all. you'd be deviating from a proven Demigod crunching cookie cutter build (Spit, Grasp, Inner Beast) to get a high risk farming ability. TB (and every other DG I listed) gets those high

[yeah, its cross-posted from another thread. i copy-pasted myself. i wanted to say exactly the same thing in this thread too.] regarding "fanboyism" if you're not a fan of Stardock what the hell are you doing here? what kind of person has so much built up aggression and so many anti-social tendencies that they have choose to spend their own time participating in a community that they don't actually like? there's a huge

regarding "fanboyism" if you're not a fan of Stardock what the hell are you doing here? what kind of person has so much built up aggression and so many anti-social tendencies that they have choose to spend their own time participating in a community that they don't actually like? there's a huge amount of immaturity in this attitude. why would you dislike a "fanboy". what kind of person are you that you don't like people who like things. to extend the car analogy: you buy a car but the engine has a transmission flaw. the car company issues a recall so you bring it in to the dealership and they offer you a trade in for a model that doesn't have a transmission flaw or they offer to fix the transmission flaw for free but the car will be in the shop for 2 weeks. thats the real situation.

maybe some of you should go check the current state of the game, 1 month after its release. whenever i do this (go into the game and see what its like) i notice that these days it takes me about 2 minutes to find a match and about 10 seconds to connect to all players inside that match. i find that maybe 1 out of 4 lobbies fail for some reason but most of them don't. i find that of the games that i launch into (which is about 75% of the games i try to join) about 7

Darvin, re: Regulus a mana hungry Regulus must spend gold on mana items. this is gold not spent on Citadel Upgrades, Health Items, or Damage Items. there are tradeoffs for everything. re: Beast i will say without hesitation that Oak, Queen, Rook, and TB all have noticeably and important advantages over Beast when it comes to creep farming. Oak regains health and mana during creep farming due to Divine Justice. He also

the very fact that this thread has gone for 4 pages, with a moderator post on page 2, is all the evidence you need that Stardock has a light-handed moderation policy. this would have been instantly locked under a more authoritarian regime. as a matter of policy, i think SD needs to be consistent and let people know what to expect. you shouldn't have to wonder if one intemperate moment on the forums will lead to your mandatory refund. please SD, clarify this policy

yeah, the problems would have been avoided by a company with more experience. but i'm happy to help Stardock become an experienced company. maybe i'm an idealist and maybe i'm in a small minority, but i don't like the idea of eating your young, which is what is essentially happening when players expect every company in the business to put out games that behave exactly as the latest major release from Activision/Blizzard or Xbox Live.&n
