i honestly think this is a great idea. For example if your over seeing the luanch of an attack on a heavly fortified planet and u hear we are under attack, when u look and see its at one of your fringe worlds the first thing your going to think is counter attack. then you might go to see what exactly the situation is and it would be a huge distraction from the main battle and the real threat.

I personaly like the original idea a great deal. In my opinion it is well thought out and makes the game more practical with out depleting the challenge. Some ideas ive heard on this topic have been quite crude and completly cancel out the loyalty challenge itslef.
