I'm enjoying this AAR. My custom race uses the Krynn tech tree, so it's nice to see such a well thought out and written AAR about the Kyrnn. Looking forward to more.

Stand alone add-on for Europe. Why just Europe? Not that it matters to me, I bought all three already, but . . .
Bro, relax. Please stop bumping your thread when you aren't on topic. I recommend you check out writing sites like [link="http://writing.com"]writing.com[/link] because you won't get much response on a forum like this one.
I have a couple comments to make in regard to the story: 1) The likelihood of this being published is slim to none. And that has nothing to do with your writing ability or the story itself. Publishing is hard. If you want to get publis
TA is the way to go. I wouldn't go back and play the campaign in DL because it feels like a completely different game than DA and TA. You could, however, "get away" with playing the campaign in DA because it plays similar to TA, but the changes to the tech trees in TA take the game to a whole new level. Really, this game isn't about the campaign, so Zydor is spot on. TA is the way to go. Reference (cause I still get them confused when people use axronyms) GalCiv II: Dread L
This fear is just mother culture rearing her giant head. Sure, things change. Yes, it is possible that a significant change is going to take place, but it isn't armageddon. These things happen. The end of Rome only spelled an end to Roman society, the world didn't end (yes, I understand a "dark" age came next). This all comes down to a way of life fearing for its own existence in the face of entropy. This idea of the end being nigh is just the end of the American Empire as we know it.<br/
I remember original was 800x600) will make my eyes bleed on my big monitor
You could play it in windowed mode. But yes, it will still look dated. I play it on my laptop, which is nowhere near the size of my desktop screen. It's nice to play when I am traveling.
Eh, I don't think Diablo is necessary to finish, though II is worth playing through again.
Collection is what the game is all about, really. It's an endless addiction. Inventory management is always a gripe in any Diablo clone, though I think Titan Quest did a good job by allowing you to go back to town whenever you want instead of having to use scrolls to do it. Oh, and Diablo has always had legs because of the online multiplayer. Even playing solo you should always play in the online setting so you can use that character if you ever want to do some multiplayer. If
Thanks for the info. Apparently my favorite classes are the least played (with the exception of Engineer, which people play, but I generally end up playing because they are a necessity in most maps).
Uhhhhh. Ummmm. Uhhhh. Thank god for the walkthrough.
^^Nice, Gambler.
That'll be fun to see.I haven't tried out the pyro update yet, but it'll be nice since I liked playing as the pyro even before the update. Required less accuracy...
I really enjoy jumping into a crowd of people and setting them on fire. That is always satisfying. And they're pretty fast moving.
I can't play without diplomacy. My entire strategy is based on it. I always set people up against each other so that I have time to build up some forces.
I thought Sniper was next. Anyway, doesn't matter to me. I stopped playing when the did the Medic. I'm not a fan of achievement farming. It doesn't help that my two favorite classes have been the first to be changed, but maybe I'll start playing again (instead of COD4) since not as many people will be Medics. With all those Pyros running around peopled definitely need medics. I can't wait to see what they do with the Scout. More health would be great.
Two different looking sides of the same coin...Clearly, somebody who's served four years as a Senator and somebody who's served twenty are exactly the same.
I think he meant the political parties, and then subsequently the politicians.
I agree with white knight there should be no political parties and one term limits for everyone to reduce the amount of corrupting power anyone can have
One term for a lot of positions would be a bit too sho
Btw, so far this thread hasn't turned into a flame war (and subsequently killed my a mod), which is nice. whiteknight, were you aware that the Confederacy only had one term Presidents? (Theoretically speaking, not that they were able to have multiple presidents.) For six years I believe. And I agree that two terms really hinder the Presidency. You get three years, then spend a year trying to get elected again, two or three years of doing whatever they want (and Congress battling them or
Go with the board game if you are interested. It's very complex and requires a dedicated group of people (e-mail is the way to go). Still, I think there are better options out there for you whether a board game ([link="http://www.boardgamegeek.com/newuser.php"]see here[/link]) or a pc game.
While I agree that the ability to "steal" starbase resources is a bit unbalanced in favor of a nation not at war, in reality they don't jump on the resources because they'll just immediately get blown up. So, it makes sense that the AI doesn't prioritize it while still at war. I believe the AI is also more interested in killing you when you have starbases in their sectors. I think. As far as the rest of the trading and proxy wars, it makes sense. I too prefer to play from a diplo
You can continue playing it . . . from an older save game file, but you will have to counteract the Influence so you don't lose again. Really, though, no.
Don't know. It's working fine for me. Sorry.
Personally, I think McCain has potential. Unlike Kerry or Hillary, he doesn't change his stated position based on the crowd he's in front of, but based on sensible principles (e.g. not drilling offshore makes sense when oil is cheap and the tech is dirty, but not now when gas is expensive and we can get the oil without harming the environment). That's the kind of "flip flop" that's a good thing.
However you justify a flip flop is up to you. Meh. Musically I like Coldplay, but lyrically they just bore me. To each his own.
No offense, but this is such a loaded question I'm not warranting a response. If you want to know people's feelings about the election, just ask. Don't say that there is a choice between socialism and a "slight slow down of it." Gross over generalizations that are loaded assumptions don't warrant reply . . . especially when they don't make a whole lot of sense to me.
there is a difference between "I majored in religious studies" or "I majored in middle eastern culture" and "I MAJORED IN ISLAM", namely the latter makes absolutely zero sense.
Yes, saying "I majored in Islam" doesn't make sense . . . but people do get their doctorates by emphasizing one religion. It is an absurd statement from a semantic viewpoint, but that doesn't mean someone didn't in some form "major in Islam." This is off-topic, however.
As for being coded with "IE in mind over other browsers" from what I've heard from a lot of developers, they spend more time fixing issues to work in IE since it seems to render things according to its own "standards." I've had to do that very thing on my own blog: if browser is IE, use this class, if anything else, use this one. Annoying.
So I have I. I've had to throw in extra code to get things to line up correctly. Eventually I just threw in a line about how the site
