asteroids give little of anything, but provide a decent source of metal ice worlds give a lot of crystal ( needed for research and some ships) and also respectable population (for credits) terrans give most population i.e. most credits volcanics give most fleet slots i.e. ship capacity desert worlds give lots of logistics capacity, so you can build factories, trade ports, research stations, pretty much everthing there. dead asteroids let you build def

another positive interview, cool to see. via this website I saw so many sites I never even heard of before, pretty awesome. but how they rate the current ai as promising and good remains a mystery to everyone else in the beta I guess. though I have no doubt it will be a lot better at and after release.
ya one can only hope that SD/IC find a publisher for europe. There is defiantly interested for such a game in germany. I know so many ppl waiting for a game like this (ya i ofc already informed them about this game ) and im sure that many more are out there just waiting for someone to show them a game like Sins. <br/
cool idea. I tried a bit myself, I think I got a few ppl quite interested, but I cant see german mags reporting too much or ppl discussing it very much here. This is mostly because there is still no German publisher. I asked on gamecaptain.de why they do not have even one article about sins or why sins isnt in their release list. They said that there is no german publisher and no german release date, so they wont put

special huh? lots of people touched it: the kind if scale and pacing is quite unique in a rts and its what I like a lot. you get the feel of an empire, everything supports it, from the massive fleets, to the huge distances between planets and the scale of objects like the various ships and planets and suns. I like the premise of strategy vs clickfest in that it really matters a lot where you position your forces, where to attack and defend, when to counter attack or do a sneak strike, w

cool idea. actually, it should run it. I got it to run on my old desktop which must be a 2003er year. specs were/ are Athlon 3000 XP (got updated later, not sure which one exactly, but something on those dimensions) Geforce 4400 Ti 512 ram. it ran it ok, but the planets were all ... were strange, a mix of transparent and uniform colour. all in all, it might run, but I strongly advise against it. 1) there is still a risk involved 2) you won't get any of the game's

well, sort of since there is neutral territory which can do various modifications to standard combat, like preventing fighters from launching, increasing am generation, limiting abilites and more. but obviously space is rather ... empty, so its hard to have the same degree of environment as in land based rts's.
I don't see that ever happening Shadow -- it'd be one heck of a headache to program, and confusing / difficult to boot. What happens if the treaty gets broken? What about someone flooding the opponents territory with cheap, useless units with an eye towards jamming them up? Etc etc.
obviously I cant speak of a developing point of view. gameplaywise however, I can. what would happen? factories are of course considered ho

feature idea: allied build option in grav wells. idea: there could be an option, or extra treaty allowing you to set up logistics and/ or tactical structures in the grav well of your allies. purpose: setting up a factory near your allies planets could help a great deal to support in case of attacks. also, in team games, people might consider spitting offensive and defensive roles and as such, the offensive player would want to have factories close to the staging ground, wherea

an empire needs its intelligence agency, so we cannot publish a list of all members. but we could feed some false data to a bothan of your choice if you want.
what has two thumbs and can crush your entire clan singlehandedly? ME!
you may be a good player, but the replays show quite clearly that you stand no chance against two players out to kill you, so don't boast or tell crap. also, this thing isnt only about organisation and structure,
Long live the empire! I will join the good emporoer on the quest to enligtenment and cheap booze!
