Banned for having an avatar looking like an obese batman. Something happened to the karma system. I can't see all my Karma given by thr players of You're Banned anymore...[e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]

Okay, I measured the vent with my eyes [e digicons]:P[/e] , and it appears that there is room for two fans to suck cool air in through the case. I'm probably going to get a second side fan, clean out the graphics card, and get more RAM. I'm probably going to wait one more video card generation before upgrading, those those ATI Radeon 5870s look very nice (next year they'll be obsolete though[e digicons];P[/e] )
Your problem might be fans
There are two fans in the back, but they really aren't spinning fast. There is a side vent in the case with a CPU cooling fan.
I think there is problem with the karma system too. Instead of the a long list of karma I've gotten, its only showing just a few. Possible bug? It looks like the only karma being shown is the site I'm one which is Galciv II, and that is from the forum sections that are exlclusive to this site, not from Off topic or anything.
Checked the temperature of the GPU at idle fan settings (idle is 45% speed). Around 90 degrees C. What is going on with my card. Dust can't be causing all of that heat...
Good Idea: Playing Crysis
I would give you Karma, but you have ghost for your avatar. Also, if someone gives a really funny reason, give that person karma.
For those who wanted me to update Origins, they got their wish. Ordo's story has begun. Here is the link .
Ordo: Data Segement 1 The Subcommand-Unit O-rd4gfd R-lj1ku D-jn4ghj O-gjh92 activated its circuits and systems. All systems functional. All protocols and commands processed. Prime Motive still in top slot of priorities. Commence operations. </p
After a very long wait, I have completed the first section of Ordo's story. After that, I am redoing Jordan's story. After that will come Aelytha and Jim. Also, I am creating each story in one reply and updating that, instead of posting lots of different replies, to avoid confusion.
Banned for mentioning avertising
I would give you Karma, but my smoke detector went off for some reason and I had to go fix it.
Awesome stuff BKam! Keep it up!
Uhhh....I think I'll stick with Medieval II Total War.
Did you check the cooler itself yet, if it runs properly? Maybe it's just very dusty?
Fan runs fine. I crank its speed up to 100% when playing Crysis so it doesn't overheat as fast. That's what I'm thinking. I'm probably going to take the card out to clean it. What I'm worried about is that the computer would act strangely after I did it. To clean the card, I should just get some of the PC cleaning swabs, and stick them into the vents to get the dust out
The system just shuts down completely? I doubt that that has anything to do with the GPU overheating. Check the GPU temperature first (you can see it in the CCC).
When I'm playing games like Crysis, I see that the GPU temperature gets to about 110 degrees C.
I could turn up my fan settings...
I activate manual fan setting through the Catalyst control center (CCC) to 100% before playing games such as Crysis, and I've found that it can help the PC run the games quite a bit longer before the system heat crashes. I'm thinking about getting some serious upgrade for my PC. First, I'm going to get more RAM. This should help my PC run intensive games, as it can load stuff up faster and not strain the gfx card. Second, I'm g
Hi all, I've been having problem with heat issues with my computer when I run graphics intensive games such as Crysis. I clean the sysem interior of dust regularly, but it doesn't seem to help. I've noticed that the component that heats up the most is the graphics card, so I think that is the culprit (Maybe dust has collected on the inside fan areas of the card. What appears to be the problem is that the graphics card is heating itself up so much that the computer shuts itself
Banned for being a sentence Nazi
Granted, but even humanity did understand the problems of the world, they wouldn't care because mankind is shown that it is for the most part stupid, lazy and greedy.
(seriously, though. I think I might have killed the You're Banned post... ) Koda0 (^)
Doubt. Over 9,100 bans have been posted, and I'm expecting my game to break 10,000 bans pretty soon.
Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy, but there is already a game exactly like this going.[e digicons];P[/e] https://forums.galciv2.com/356457
Anyone knows anything about DRM? The last game(City Life) used StarForce, correct?
I don't think Monte Cristo said anything about the DRM. At the minumum it will be a serial key, at most it will likely be some varient of SecuROM, but with all the backlash DRM is recieving, I doubt they will use SecuROM. Speaking of DRM, StarForce is trying to make comeback...
Cities XL was very disappointing from me. I played the demo. It's kind of a bummer, since I like city builders and Simicty 4 acts wierd on Vista (doesn't display the cars and other stuff)
Quoting GeneralEtrius, reply 37 Hey, thanks for the alert about direct2drive. However, I have a question. Do you have to download a client like impulse, or does it just download the games? You can choose either method: just DL the game (Comes as a setup.exe file. You'll have to input a key to activate the game once installed) or D2D has an installer if you want to use that (I never
