hmm, the window backgroud color acts only on the right part of explorer (in Vista). For XP both sides are skinned by it. And that´s why I´m asking here. For you guys from stardock, are you planning to fix this for Vista or am I totally wrong, and there is already a way to change that color (or background image)? For Number2: it´s actually the resizing bar for the folders area. To my opinion it´s a little huge in Vista, but anyway, again, are there any plans to make it skinnable? <br

Though I´ve posted that aleady somewhere else https://forums.wincustomize.com/171742, here it is again (I can´t beleive there is no solution): does anybody know how to get the left side of vista explorer to use a certain backgroud (color)?? please help!!!!!!!

yes, it´s annoying. For me the problem vanished when I updated WB. Sorry, don´t remember to which version. The current one is ok for me. If you still have the problem, uninstall WB and reinstall. Some other minor bugs were fixed for me that way.

thanks for replying :-), I thought this thread is already dead, so I didn´t post what I found out myself meanwhile. for #1 you´re right, it can´t be skinned as far as I saw #2 yes it´s the selection image, the third frame is for left part of explorer. You sometimes have to restart WB or restart vista to get it working #3 you´re right and the background for folders can´t be changed (at least not at the moment), and no color in SkS acts on color of that background #4 this doub

also make shure that most fonts are not linked to system fonts in the .uis (there´s a thread here that describes how to do that). If you have a list of more than 4 fonts at [SystemFonts] change that as described...

Had the same problem. Could fix it by editing the colors in the .uis (or.sss) itself (shut down SkS before). The disabled font is represented by "ButtonShadow", the shadow color (guess the one that annoys you)is ButtonLight. These colors influence some other things (separator lines in Photoshop for example) so you have to play around a bit. You can also try the same color manipulations from SkS but from my experience it doesn´t work propperly... P.S. I got the feeling that some

Does anybody know why it tiles and not stretches? in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

in Skinstudio6 the bottom border (per pixel frames) doesn´t stretch but tile the middle section (neither with setting stretch middle section nor with stretch horz middle section) . In the preview it´s ok but not in "reality". Tried different settings. Does anybody know what to do? Btw for menu backgrounds it works...

to be honest, I´m rather annoyed by this issue! Not because there IS a bug (that happens), but because there would be a solution, but we customers of ObjectDesktop can´t use it: install without using StardockCentral, which causes the problem! I really have to turn on my Laptop for three times until at least the taskbar is displayed propperly, not to mention several applications, I have to start again, just to SEE the close button, due to transparency. are wba´s made in Skinstudio 6 compatible with WB 5? in SkinStudio WinCustomize Forums

really need help, can´t make wba´s work for WB 5 (and obviously also can´t be opened in Skinstudio 5) :-( another question: is it possible to normalize image file names in Skinstudio 6(maybe that solves the problem). When I open the skins to Skinstudio 5 (not the wba) and try to do it there, there are heavy conflicts, obviously due to vista parts,which SkS 5 can´t handle. Seriously need some help :-(
