well...from a purely logistical stand point, it wouldn't be difficult. All one's character would have to do would be to switch empires; I did it with my League character (he was originally in the Tyranny, now in the MVL Empire)
If the ToE were to join the Kzinti that would be powerful indeed... Correct for the most part. I can think of only one potential problem, but any discussion is entirely premature until Neilo and I have had a chance to communicate. I have a hel

We have two new members joining us today, Ariz and Gruesome! Welcome to the Empire...may your enemies fall before your ferocious and merciless warriors! :D And this is from MottiKhan on the Tryanny of Evil empire thread:
It's a shame we can't merge with or annex the Kzinti Empire.
It's a shame we can't merge with or annex the Kzinti Empire. Imagine the evil that could be wrought...
The entire galaxy would tremble at the mere possibility! ;) That thought has crossed my mind before too Motti, even to the point where I sort of have some of the potential details thought out. The Kzinti a
Err...The Korath are so agrivating. I will admit that the AIs do under utilize them, but it makes the game interesting trying to stop them when they can move 12 pc/week. I don't consider it cheap, just annoying. XD
Even without spore ships, I've found the Korath to be quite strong. I have played with super-abilities only rarely, but still the Korath always have a very strong military from early on, and usually waste no time trying to conquer other civs. <a href
But it seems you already have filled all the free positions. Please send me a message when you'll need a new or replacement player. BR, Iztok
I have heard nothing from thebutterfly since this round started, and I think Silverbeacher's team also has someone MIA at the moment? If about three weeks have passed since the start of the round and neither has been heard from, we'd be more than happy to welcome Iztok to the team. :) <a href="http://www.myp
engineering grad students are also a pain in my butter tank
Butter tank? What exactly do you do with it to give it that appellation? Sentient species taste better...
I play on masochistic, and I almost never build any military ships until I've got medium hulls. I like to build up basic infrastructure first, then build medium hulls and attack the weakest adjacent civ. With diplomacy and bribing them to war upon each other, I almost always stay at peace until I choose to go to war. I usually form an economic or research treaty with one close-by potential threat, because it almost always prevents them from declaring war on you. If there are any minor
Sort of like if I had a penchance the throw up hairballs and wave my butt in the air when people walk near me, but I haven't joined the Kzinti Empire.
Hehe! Don't knock it til you've tried it. ;) Sentient species taste better...
I've read all of those, except The State trilogy - I may have to head to my local bookstore If you haven't, read The Gripping Hand - it's the sequel to The Mote in God's Eye. Also, Building Halrequin's Moon and The Draco Tavern are excellent. As for the invite, thank you but I'm more of a lone wolf. That, and
At least I got a name and its better than "Dinner"
More likely we would leave your caracass rotting in the sun for the carrion-birds to squabble over. If you fight and die bravely though, we might honor you with being devoured! ;) <img src="ht
1) Break all ties by submission time. 2) Don't break any ties. All qualifying games get the same 1 point. 3) Don't break ties but ties divide the points available to those tied. 4) Break speed ties by score and score ties by speed.
I like #1 the best, because I like that bonus points can be dependent upon not just two things (speed & score). It adds another strategic facet to the league. Yeah, rl can intervene with this, but we
and I just wanted to say for the record, that of the Top 5 Empires we also have the fewest members; and have a per member average of 56K, as compared to oh I don't know...some other empire that has a 27.7K average
A Kzinti general once said, "Words are the last resort of the desperate warrior." While you were preparing your calculations, Fights-With-Words, our t'kzintar subjugated 5 more sectors of the galaxy. With victories both incremental and epic, the power
Just bringing to the attention of the MVL that I have sent repeated messages to Velkyn Kyil and have had no response, it is still early in the round so I'm not calling for action yet, but the Eternal Villainy may again end up being just a 4 man team. Y'know...I may have to ask Neilo to stop assigning new players to me, I must just come off to gruff or something <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_11 src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/Ew.gif" onload=ImageResizer.createOn(this); align=absM
Of course, I did stop by and tell your kittens Neilo that we may have to curb their playtime soon.
If you spent as much time fighting battles for your tyranny as you did talking, you would be the greatest tyrant of all Silverbeacher! While you are busy wasting your breath, the Kzinti now stalk many more worlds in this galaxy. A Kzinti earns his name by what he does and who he is, and we have given you the dishonorable name of Fights-With-Words. Perhaps in your
How are our pets doing today? I'm sure Emperor Neilo will be pleased to see his kittens having so much fun, but eventually we may have to curb playtime. I play on Masochistic and I've found that the Thalans do expand very quickly. Their colonies range over a lot of the map, but are thinly scattered in some places, so that makes them easy prey for an early limited war. Declare war on them early and pick off some outlying planets, and then maybe make peace before they have much of a chance to get their war machine going in your direction. <img src="http://www.mypicshar
How did such a violent, and seemingly self-destructive race gain the technology to become an intergalatic power, or even get passed the Dark Ages?
Very good question. If you take a look at post #47, there's the answer you're looking for. :) Sentient spe
