Yeah, that random event has always been worded rather deceptively. You would think that if your "spies were working with them" you'd get all the tech too, but its not the case. If you have stuff to trade with teh minor civ, then you can get some of it, but you have to actually do the trading normally. There is no benefit to the good ethical choices other than how it affects your alignment, and therefore your relations with other civs of similar or different alignments.&nbs

The large majority of Kzinti members joined before we were #1, or even in the top three, so to say everyone has joined for a medal is factually incorrect.
